As many gamers may recall, Epic Games' Fortnite held a Marvel crossover event that hosted Avengers: Infinity War's Thanos, and now it looks as if PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is set to get in on the comic book action as well. Just recently, PUBG teased that cosmetics based on the DC Universe's criminal clown duo, the Joker and Harley Quinn, will be coming to the Battle Royale game at some point in the near future.
As seen in the brief teaser video below, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds fans are first given a look at what appears to be Harley Quinn’s design from the Suicide Squad movie, with her boots, fishnet tights, red and blue hair, and choker with the word “Puddin” on it all denoting her character. During the clip, an explosion occurs that has two figures emerging from the smoke, with their silhouettes implying that PUBG players will be able to dress up as both the Joker and Harley Quinn soon.
While the Joker and Harley Quinn's eventual arrival in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will likely excite fans of the DC Universe who play the popular Battle Royale title, there's no telling exactly when they will be making their way into the game just yet. Unfortunately, all that the above video's description offers is, "Some jailbirds are not meant to be caged", and that the supposed cosmetics are "Coming soon."
Since it looks as if PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds fans will have to wait a while longer until the game brings the Joker and Harley Quinn's avatars into the title, players looking forward to the skins will need to keep themselves occupied with the game's current wares for the time being. So, until their arrival and long after they've made it into the game, developer Bluehole Studio will hopefully remain diligent in its ongoing efforts to fix PUBG.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now for Android, iOS, PC, and Xbox One.
