If there was any one thing that fans of the battle royale genre will be all too familiar with, it is that last sprint to make sure they are in the safe zone. One of the key features of the genre is the constant limiting of playable space, turning what would otherwise be a slow shooter in an oversized map into an intense game. While every player has at some point or another just missed the border of the bomb free zone, one PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds player didn't make it for a stranger reason.

Redditor tee1ma poster a wild clip of a recent glitch they experienced during a match of PUBG. Within the 30 second clip, tee1ma shows that missing the safety zone was not through the usual overconfidence or poorly judged landing, but instead due to a hilarious glitch.

Tee1ma was utilizing one of PUBG's flying vehicles to move at a great pace across the map. After making it well within the border of the safety zone with a full two minutes to spare, they opted for a landing. Unfortunately for tee1ma, they hit a very shaky spot that broke PUBG's often flimsy laws of physics. As tee1ma touches the ground, there seemed to be a collision into an object that began a wild clipping shakeup. Through a mix of tee1ma's speed and the unnoticed object, they were flung under the map.

It was the following attempts by tee1ma that would force the unlucky teleportation. As they attempted to traverse the underground mountain in order to get back above land, another clipping jigglefest began. After a quick detour to a lake, tee1ma is suddenly whisked across the map, ultimately ending in their undoing. With under two minutes left, tee1ma landed significantly far away from the safety zone which was centered around Sosnovka Military Base

What happened to tee1ma is definitely a fun clip to watch even though they were ultimately sent to their doom by bomb drops. Compared to other glitches out there, this simply hurt one player and not an entire community. It was earlier this year that the undisputed leader of the battle royale genre saw a much more prevalent and even game breaking glitch. Fortnite recently faced an invisibility glitch following a January update though unlike tee1ma's clumsy transportation clip, Fortnite's invisibility issue could be replicated giving players who utilized it an easy win.

While tee1ma's amazingly botched landing has made its way onto Reddit for others to chuckle at, it's likely others hit that same rough patch. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is still an immensely popular game bringing in a big amount of daily players. As the first breakout Battle Royale success prepares for its official fourth anniversary this year, rumblings of a possible PUBG sequel in 2022 are making the rounds online.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now for Mobile, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles.
