PUBG has become one of the most popular shooting games in the world. This game brought the battle royale genre to the mainstream gaming market and paved the way for hundreds of other battle royale shooters.

PUBG offers a bunch of versions for different platforms. There's PUBG, PUBG Mobile, PUBG Lite, and PUBG Mobile Lite. Apart from PUBG, all other versions of the game are free. However, gamers can now enjoy the standard PUBG for free as well because the game is free for the weekend.

Those who own a PC can download PUBG for free from the Steam store this weekend. The entire game will be unlocked, including the all-new Ranked mode. Those who've been wanting to try out the Steam version of the game can now safely test out the game to see if it fits their needs or not.

Now is also a great time to get into the game as the game has received some substantial updates as of late. A completely revamped version of the Vikendi map was launched last month, where players can even ride trains while shooting down their enemies.

Sadly, players can only enjoy the game for free until June 8. However, those who'd like to continue playing after can purchase the game at a 50% discount until Monday. All the progress from the free weekend will be carried over to the full game.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now on mobile devices, PC, PS4, Google Stadia, and Xbox One.
