There's been a lot of news and rumors surrounding Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise as of late, including a potential new Aztec Empire setting, a part of Assassin's Creed Infinity being set in Japan, and more. Assassin's Creed Infinity is the big hub-world game coming to the franchise, but before then, fans know to expect Assassin's Creed Rift, a small-scale game featuring Basim and set in Baghdad. It seems this title was also internally delayed a few months, putting it a little later in 2023, but fans will likely learn more at the future of AC event in September.

Ahead of then, though, fans of Assassin's Creed and some battle royale titles may get a little more to explore. While Ezio and Eivor have already come to the wildly popular Fortnite, it seems Krafton's PUBG: Battlegrounds and New State Mobile are up next. Both games will receive some crossover events this summer.

The PUBG: Battlegrounds x Assassin's Creed crossover will take place between August 17 and September 22. During this time, PUBG players will be able to earn themed cosmetic rewards, which Krafton describes as two sets of costumes, two sets of bag skins, a parachute skin, an emote, a gun charm, and two sets of spray items. Fans will likely learn more specifics as the event gets closer, but there is one unique element to it. It seems the Templar cover Abstergo Industries is invading PUBG's Haven map. There will be themed resources and props on the map, with Abstergo taking over one of the main builds. In it, there will be a hidden Animus machine and a Leap of Faith ledge on the roof.

New State Mobile's Assassin's Creed event will be taking place almost concurrently, beginning on August 18 and going until September 21. During this time, players will be able to obtain over 30 unique Assassin's Creed costumes, weapon skins, collaboration crates, and more. Specifically, Krafton reveals players will be able to earn an Ezio skin, a Shay skin, an upgradeable SIG-MCX skin, two vehicle skins, and more. Furthermore, players will get daily log-in rewards and have the ability to unlock more by completing story missions. This ties around rumors that Templars and Assassins are on Erangel and Troi, for one reason or another.

For fans of PUBG and New State Mobile, this event may get players their needed dose of Assassin's Creed, at least until Ubisoft shows more at the event in September. Fingers crossed that fans' many hopes for Assassin's Creed Rift prove legit.

Assassin's Creed Rift is reportedly in development.
