A couple days ago, the PC-exclusive War mode that pitted three 10-man squads against each other in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds came to an end. Understandably, fans of the multiplayer online battle royale game may be excited to see what comes next. While exact details of the next limited-time event mode haven’t been announced, a lead community manager recently revealed a very interesting tidbit.

Recently, dataminers found references to a specific vehicle in a test patch on PC. It is an armored version of the PlayerUnknown Battleground’s 4x4 UAZ, but it is simply called an armored UAZ. When it was discovered, many thought that this UAZ would fully protect its passengers because of PUBG Corp.’s desire to add bullet penetration to in-game vehicles. But the PUBG community manager stated that this vehicle was actually part of an upcoming event mode. Check out a 3D model of the vehicle below:

Considering that this armored UAZ is not a skin but a completely new vehicle, this is exciting news that will likely lead to heavy speculation about the next limited-time event. While everyone may have some idea, it’s always good to wait for official confirmation. The Tequila Sunrise event came to an end on April 8, and the War Mode ended on April 15.

Reasonably, the end dates would suggest additional information about the next event is forthcoming, with the community manager seemingly promising information soon.

While waiting for more information concerning the upcoming limited-time event, it’s worth noting that PUBG is by no means a perfect game. Still, the PC and Xbox One versions of the game could learn something from the mobile version. It doesn’t seem likely that any of those improvements could be implemented before the next event, however.

What kind of event would you like to see with this armored UAZ?

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now on Android and iOS devices, PC, and through early access on Xbox One.
