Psychonauts 2: Lucrecia's Lament Emotional Baggage Locations

After freeing the Astralathe with the help of Bob Zanotto and Cassie O'Pia, Psychonauts 2 players will finally be able to use the device on Lucrecia, entering her mind in an effort to defeat Maligula once and for all. The quest will take them to a brand new level titled Lucrecia's Lament, which sees Raz and Ford Cruller journey through the aging super villain's mental realm.

The section sets up the final events of the game, however, it also offers plenty of new secrets for Raz to uncover. While there are Nuggets of Wisdom and Memory Vaults scattered throughout the area, players will mostly be on the hunt for Emotional Baggage, with Lucrecia hiding five pieces throughout her mental realm.

As always, these can be tricky to find, especially as the later levels in the game begin to sneak treasures into increasingly obscure locations. So, for those struggling to get their hands on all the Emotional Baggage tucked away in Lucrecia's brain, here's how to find every last piece.

One final thing to keep in mind. The Emotional Baggage in Lucrecia's brain is handled differently to most other levels in Psychonauts 2. While the core format is still identical, with players needing to find both the bag and its corresponding tag to sort a piece of Emotional Baggage, this section actually puts all the bags in one place. After Raz vanquishes the final horde of enemies at the end of the level, all the bags will fall with the pathway of luggage that leads to the locket. So, here's how to find every tag to unlock those bags.

The Suitcase

The first tag players will find throughout their journey is the Suitcase tag. It will crop up during the first section of the level, when Raz is performing circus tricks alongside the family of fleas. If it's the player's first time through Lucrecia's Lament, complete all the various tasks needed to advance the level, including stopping the carousel, throwing the knives at the balloons around Raz's flea father, and moving the tennis ball into the holder.

Now, climb up the giant ladder onto the diving board above the teacup. After reaching the top, head to the right instead of jumping off after Lucrecia. Follow the path around and players should come across the Suitcase tag at the end of a giant trunk latch. Players should see the collectible while stood on the diving board, as it'll be located directly in front of them.

The Steamer Trunk

The second tag players will come across is the Steamer Trunk tag. After jumping off the diving board and landing in the teacup, players will arrive in a quilted world designed by Lucrecia. Follow the main path until coming across a quilted river and look to the left. Amongst the shrubbery, players will find the Steamer Trunk tag.

The Hatbox

The Hat Box tag is found in the same area as the Steamer Trunk tag. After jumping off the diving board into the teacup and arriving in the quilted realm, follow the mission's main path, cross the river, and head towards the first of Lucrecia's portals. If this is the player's first time through, they'll get a cutscene. After it's finished, head around to the back of the portal. The Hatbox tag should be sat directly behind it.

The Purse

The Purse utilizes a similar trick to the Hatbox tag. Continue on with the mission and head through the next area of the level until players come across a second portal. After watching the next cutscene, head through the doorway and move around the back of it. The Purse tag should be sitting there.

The Duffelbag

The final tag is also located in the area after the second portal. Head down the pathway ahead until coming across several Doubts enemies. Burn them using the Pyrokinesis PSI power and then look to Raz's left. There should be a button on the floor covering a hole. Lift the button up using Telekinesis and players should have the option to enter the hole. They'll then be taken to a small clearing where they'll find the Duffelbag tag.

With the final tag in their collection, players can head to the final area of the level and sort all the Emotional Baggage residing in Lucrecia's mind. With that done, they can return to Raz's adventure or stick around to find all the Nuggets of Wisdom and Memory Vaults hiding in the corners of Lucrecia's mental realm.
