Download Games on the Cheap with PSN's 11 for 2011 Sale

PSN Sale 11 For 11

Who likes cheap games? All of you? Well then, Sony and I have some great news. Throughout the month of January, 11 of the PlayStation Network's most popular titles will be on sale at half their original prices for the '11 for 2011' sale.

If you've been waiting to pick up games like Space Invaders Infinity Gene, Costume Quest, or Hoard, this is the time to drop a few dollars and beef up your game collection.

Sony issued a press release along with the sale:

"For a limited time, experience all the action you can handle, from remade classics to 3D racers and shooters, all at half the price: become a master of ball-bouncing madness through 55 levels of non-stop action in Peggle for $4.99; ransack through a medieval kingdom as a dragon in search of gold in Hoard for $7.49; or control an entire army as you wield devastating magical abilities to demolish enemy castles in Swords and Soldiers for only $4.99."

The entire list of games on sale is as follows, along with their regular prices:

  • Costume Quest — $7.49 sale price ($14.99 regular price)
  • Deathspank Thongs of Virtue — $7.49 sale price ($14.99 regular price)
  • Hoard — $7.49 sale price ($14.99 regular price)
  • Soldner-X2: Final Prototype — $6.49 sale price ($12.99 regular price)
  • MotorStorm 3D Rift — $4.99 sale price ($9.99 regular price)
  • Peggle — $4.99 sale price ($9.99 regular price)
  • Space Invaders Infinity Gene — $4.99 sale price ($9.99 regular price)
  • Swords and Soliders — $4.99 sale price ($9.99 regular price)
  • Tumble — $4.99 sale price ($9.99 regular price)
  • Comet Crash — $4.99 sale price ($9.99 regular price)
  • Shatter — $3.99 sale price ($7.99 regular price)

It isn't often that we see this many quality PSN titles at this affordable a price, so if you've ever had an inkling of interest for any of these games, you'd better hurry up and buy them. There likely won't be another sale quite so comprehensive for a good amount of time.

Are you going to pick up any of these downloadable titles this week during '11 for 2011'? If you already own a few, which stand out as being most worthy of a purchase?
