The Chief Studios Officer of Electronic Arts Laura Miele has a lot of positive things to say about the upcoming PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X. With the features the new consoles will be adding, Miele says that they will revolutionize the gaming industry.

After the recent PS5 announcements, there has been a lot of hype for the next generation consoles, but some are concerned about their sales. With current economic struggles due to the coronavirus quarantine, some people believe that the new PS5 and Xbox Series X may not be able to pick up the same sales traction as previous generation consoles. However, it appears that Electronic Arts does not feel the same way.

The Electronic Arts executive pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic is changing media and entertainment, so the new generation consoles are coming at a good time to help reinvent the gaming industry. In her opinion, the consoles will set up a whole new gaming experience that will truly immerse the player in the setting being presented. She pointed to Madden as an example of this new engaging atmosphere that next-generation consoles could provide.

According to Miele, Madden will be updating players' stats with their NFL counterparts' performances in real-time, so the players will be changing as their real-life achievements do. Not only that, but the stands will also be filled with individual people who will respond to the action taking place on the field. Weather will impact the athletes, their equipment, and the field they are playing on. Together, Miele says these aspects will create an environment like the one one that the real players will be competing in.

While many people want to believe this Electronic Arts executive, there isn't enough for fans to go off of to support her position. Many of the games players have only been able to experience the games through early footage and brief demos during the EA Play Live. Miele may have more insider information on what is going into the EA games for the next generation, but most fans haven't been able to experience the feelings she says she felt when she played the games herself. Hopefully, gamers won't have to wait long to enjoy the next generation consoles in the positive ways Miele expressed them to be.
