PS5 users can now reveal all hidden trophies at once thanks to the most recent update. Trophy hunters on PS5 will now have an easier time keeping track of all their trophies without having to reveal hidden trophies one by one.

PS5 recently implemented features into its trophy section of the UI making trophy hunting more accessible to a wider audience, such as title cards that reveal tracked trophies, trophy hints, and hidden trophies that hide those that might spoil parts of the game for players. For the hidden trophy feature, players would have to take the extra step of hitting the square button, which reveals the hidden details of that trophy. This process may have been considered cumbersome for trophy hunters who would have to take the extra time for every hidden trophy they would want to keep track of. Thanks to the latest PS5 firmware update, this is no longer an issue, with PS5 introducing a feature that now reveals all the hidden trophies at once.

For players that might want to take on the Platinum trophy, this is an optimal addition to the PlayStation gaming experience. This feature might best be utilized after the story of a game is beaten so that players will not have to spend as much time scrolling through their trophy lists, and the hidden trophies remain secret in case they are story spoilers. For example, Horizon Forbidden West had spoilers in its trophy list. To activate this option, scroll to the PS5 game in the trophy section, hit “options” and then “reveal all.” This will still have to be done per game, rather than revealing all hidden trophies for all games at once, but even so, it is a quality of life and time saving feature that should make the quest towards the Platinum more fun and less tedious.

It is also worth noting that this feature can only be used in the general trophy section that displays all the players' games, and not from the trophy sections for each individual game. The reason for this is that “options” must be pressed on the highlighted game, as there does not appear to be a way to access the feature once already in the trophy list for the selected game. This could be added in a future update, which might also be a good time for PlayStation to address some of its multiplayer trophy concerns among the community.

This feature is not only great for trophy hunters, but also might act as one less distraction for players that want to spend more time in the games they love while collecting trophies. The update is also not the only thing that PlayStation had done to excite fans, with more PS5 DualSense controller and headset options on the way. For now, this latest update displays a list of new and welcomed features that add to the overall gaming experience.
