Bluepoint Games may be making a huge announcement at the PS5 reveal event, suggests a post on social media. Today, Sony officially confirmed that it would be holding a PS5 event on June 4, where the company is expected to show several PS5 exclusives and launch titles.

On Twitter, Peter Dalton, the chief technology officer and technical director at Bluepoint Games, quote retweeted Sony's PS5 reveal event announcement and said that he is "so excited for the future." Dalton also said that "it is time to push forward and leave our old gaming limitations behind us."

Dalton's tweet prompted a huge response from fans of Bluepoint Games, many with ideas of which game remake they'd like the developer to announce next. One popular suggestion is for Bluepoint to announce a Demon's Souls remake. Bluepoint seemed to tease a Demon's Soul remake on Twitter in November 2019, though before that, in September 2019, there had been rumors that the game was in development for PS4. There was then a rumor in October 2019 that the game is being developed for PS5.

In January 2020, there was also a large leak about PS5 launch titles that said that the Demon's Souls remake would be one of the games available on the console at launch. This was disappointing for fans of The Legend of Dragoon, which is the other remake that Bluepoint is rumored to have in development, but many were glad to hear they'd be able to play the developer's next game at launch.

If Bluepoint Games is going to be part of the PS5 reveal event, then it is very unlikely that its next remake will be available on PS4 and PS5. Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Jim Ryan has said that Sony now feels that it is time to give players things that they can only enjoy on PS5. This, with a report that revealed that Sony will begin to ask developers to make their PS4 games work on PS5, suggests that the company wants to try and get as many people upgrading to a PS5 as possible. Making Bluepoint Games next remake available on PS4 and PS5 wouldn't help with that.

The Bluepoint Games announcement would just be one of several other big reveals that Sony has planned for the PS5 event. There are also rumors that Horizon Zero Dawn 2 will be officially revealed, and it seems likely that Godfall, a game confirmed as a PS5 launch title last year, will be part of it.
