Sony has officially launched the PlayStation 5, giving fans a slew of games to try right out of the gate. However, there are still many PS5 games to look forward to in 2021 as well, with Sony releasing a commercial that highlights some of the biggest PS5 exclusive games on track for next year.

The PS5 New Worlds to Explore ad features some of the big launch games, like the Demon's Souls remake and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but it also showcases some of the games that are coming in 2021 as well. According to the ad, Gran Turismo 7Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Returnal are all due for release within the first half of 2021. An exact release date is not available at the time of this writing, but this means that fans should be able to expect the games to launch at some point by June. Assuming development continues to go well on the games, PS5 owners should have a steady stream of big games to look forward to next year. Horizon Forbidden West, meanwhile, looks to be coming at some point in the second half of 2021, and could very well be Sony's big holiday 2021 centerpiece game.

While most fans may know what Gran Turismo 7Horizon Forbidden West, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart are, some may be unfamiliar with ReturnalReturnal is developed by Housemarque, a studio known for producing highly-rated PlayStation console exclusive games like Resogun and Nex MachinaReturnal looks to be one of the studio's most ambitious projects yet, combining the third-person shooter genre with psychological horror and roguelike elements. Visually-speaking, Returnal has looked quite impressive, so it's exciting that it's apparently nearing the end of development.

Of course, there are many other big PS5 games set to release in 2021 besides the ones highlighted by the trailer. For example, Destruction AllStars, a game originally set to be a PlayStation 5 launch title, will release at some point in February as a free PlayStation Plus game. Plus, there are many multiplatform games to look forward to as well, including the upcoming Resident Evil 8, as well as the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077.

Needless to say, 2021 should be a big year for PlayStation 5, especially as more consoles become available and more consumers are able to get their hands on one.
