The PlayStation 5 is a hard thing for many people to get their hands on. With issues of scalpers and a shortage of inventory, many gamers are still waiting to get their hands on the PlayStation 5 and its DualSense controller.

PlayStation fans who have already got their hands on the elusive console may have also fallen in love with its DualSense controller. With games like Returnal showcasing the capabilities of the DualSense, PlayStation 5 owners have reasons to get even more excited about the PS5s upcoming games. Though there is one problem with the DualSense controller – it only comes in white.

According to the Spanish website Area Jugones, which is renowned for PS Plus leaks, new PlayStation 5 DualSense controller colors are on the way. Area Jugones states that the two new color schemes will be red and black as well as black and gray.

While there are no further details or images to validate the claim, the idea of new PlayStation controller colors is not new, as Sony has made the PlayStation 4 DualShock controller in a wide variety of colors.

Having more color options for the DualSense controller would certainly be something many PlayStation fans would be interested in. The white color of the current DualSense lends itself to being a Cheetos’ dust magnet, quickly taking away from the pristine white color.

While there is no news of when new color options for the PlayStation 5 DualSense will arrive, it is a safe bet that Sony is already planning new colors for release. In the meantime, fans have been finding their own ways of customizing their DualSense controllers, some even studded with diamonds in the buttons.

While some PlayStation 5 owners are getting creative with their DualSense controllers, some PlayStation 5 owners do not want to risk taking their controller apart and breaking it. Because of that, some companies have already started offering custom PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers. While these controllers are fully customizable, they offer more personalization for the owner, even engraving, but cost twice as much as a standard white controller.

PlayStation 5 owners waiting to get a new color for their controller may have to keep waiting for a while until Sony gives an official announcement for any new colors. For the PlayStation fans who just cannot wait or want even more personalization for their DualSense, a fully custom DualSense with the owner's PSN tag engraved into the touchpad, may just be the thing they are looking for.
