Sony has announced the PlayStation 5 Gray Camouflage Collection for release this fall, which will include a new DualSense controller, PS5 console covers, and a new Pulse 3D wireless headset. When the PlayStation 5 originally launched, gamers only had the basic white DualSense and console to choose from, but Sony has released a variety of controller colors since then, as well as covers that let players customize the look of their system.

Next up is the PS5 Gray Camouflage Collection, set to launch on October 14 with a gray camo DualSense wireless controller and gray camo PS5 console covers. The DualSense controller will be available to purchase from PlayStation Direct starting October 14, and is scheduled to hit retailers on October 28. The PS5 gray camouflage console covers will only be available through PlayStation Direct. The matching Pulse 3D wireless headset is currently without a specific release date, but it's expected to be available at some point in December. Sony didn't share any pricing information for these new PS5 accessories, but they will likely cost the same as their counterparts, so fans can expect to spend $70 to $75 on the controller and around $100 on the headset. The console covers will most likely be somewhere in the $55 dollar range, but again, pricing specifics have not been announced just yet.

The PS5 Gray Camouflage Collection is just the latest way Sony has let fans customize their PS5 consoles and controllers. While the system launched with white as the only color available, Sony has since released a variety of PS5 DualSense controller and console covers, including a galaxy themed collection that includes Starlight Blue, Galactic Purple, and Nova Pink. It will be interesting to see if Sony continues releasing these accessory collections, or if it decides to take the plunge and release a new PS5 console color.

While PlayStation gamers can change up their PS5 console colors using covers, they can still only buy white PS5 systems. There's definitely a market for different PS5 colors, as evidenced by these console covers, but none have been announced so far.

It makes sense that Sony hasn't released any additional PS5 colors as the company has struggled to produce enough systems to keep up with demand as it is. And unfortunately, PS5 supply issues don't seem to have any kind of end in sight. And that combined with Sony raising the price of the PS5 in certain regions is making it incredibly difficult for consumers to get their hands on a PS5 console at all, regardless of what color it is.

Those lucky enough to have already purchased a PS5 can consider buying the PS5 Gray Camouflage Collection when the console covers and DualSense controller go on sale next month.
