With the PS5 reveal event approaching, gamers have been hungering for details about the upcoming console. Now, leaked scans of the Official PlayStation magazine have revealed 38 confirmed PlayStation 5 games.

The PlayStation magazine's July issue is supposed to go on sale on June 2, and the cover has already revealed 38 games will be available for the PS5. However, screenshots of some of the inner spreads have listed a video game lineup along with a handy release key that shows whether these games will be available at the console launch, or in a matter of months (or even years). The PS5 will release everywhere simultaneously, so the games available at launch will be available to play on PS5 around the world.

The list is a mix of already confirmed games, cross-gen games, and ports. Some games, like Bethesda's Starfield, don't even have a confirmed release date yet. Along with providing an expected release window key, the list has the "ETA" and the publisher and developer companies under each game title. Each game also has an interesting blurb that can provide some insight into unreleased games.

For those who might look at the list and think it's a bit lackluster or lacking in big surprises, don't worry. Even if the magazine scans weren't leaked, the info would still be available on June 2, a day before the reveal event date. It would make sense for Sony to hold back some bigger titles for the official event, rather than including them in a magazine. It's rumored that fans could have had the release info even sooner, but the global situation has allegedly caused working from home issues for Sony leading to a PS5 reveal delay. Regardless, Sony could very well be planning more exciting announcements for its official event.

Here are all the incoming PS5 games listed in the scans:

  • A Rat's Quest: The Way Back Home (ETA 2021)

Even besides the games on this list and the potential upcoming announcements, Sony recently announced that all PS4 games released from July 13 onward have to be forward compatible with PS5. This is exciting news for those who already have a PS4 and want to keep buying games for their console without having to worry about buying the same game again for the PS5 when it releases.

Some franchises that fans have called for the PS5 to include haven't been revealed in this list, like Call of Duty, Star Wars, and Batman. These popular franchises have recently teased or announced new installments, like the leaked Black Ops: Cold War and Star Wars Project Maverick. Of course, the 38 revealed titles are just the beginning of what will no doubt be many more games to come for PS5.

The PS5 is planned for release in holiday 2020.
