Best PS4/PS5 Deals on the PlayStation Store’s End of Year Sale

Now that December is here, the PlayStation Store is hosting an End of Year Sale that offers discounts to some of the biggest games on the PS4 and PS5.

Last week, the PlayStation Store hosted a Black Friday sale, which offered steep discounts on PS4 and PS5 games. While that sale has since ended, the PlayStation Store is replacing it with another one, called the End of Year Sale, which offers discounts of up to 70% off on select games for the PS4 and PS5 via backward compatibility.

Headlining the PlayStation Store's End of Year Sale is Death Stranding Digital Deluxe Edition, which is available for $40.19 or 33% off its original price. The digital deluxe edition of Death Stranding includes the base game, alongside several bonuses such as the complete avatar set, digital album, and behind the scenes making-of video. Players can also pick up the standard version of Death Stranding for $19.99.

Survival horror fans would be happy to know that the 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2 is also discounted right now. Resident Evil 2 remake Deluxe Edition is currently available for $19.99 or 60% off its original price of $49.99. The Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil 2 includes various costumes for protagonists Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, alongside a deluxe weapon and the ability to swap the game's soundtrack with the 1998 original score.

To the uninitiated, Resident Evil 2 revolves around the story of Leon and Claire as they stumble upon the zombie-infested Raccoon City. Throughout the game, Leon and Claire uncover the reason behind the viral outbreak in the city while battling against the infected citizens and the terrifying Mr. X. Shortly after Resident Evil 2's release, Capcom revealed that the remake sold better than the original game.

Another great game to get at a discount right now is Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Deluxe Edition. This special version of the game is available for $42.49 or 50% off its original price of $84.99. To those unfamiliar, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a single-player RPG game that recounts that allows players to control Goku and friends during the many sagas that make up Dragon Ball Z.

The Deluxe version of the game includes a cooking item that provides permanent Ki-ATK, and Stat boosts to the player's character and the Season Pass, which adds 2 original episodes and a new story. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's DLC 1 dropped last April, while DLC 2 was just released last November 17th and focused around the Golden Frieza storyline.
