2020 is almost over and to close out the year, the PlayStation Store has launched its holiday sale, which offers huge discounts of up to 70% off on some of the biggest games on the PS4 and PS5. Luckily for players, the holiday sale will run through until early January next year, giving players plenty of time to browse and pick up a game or two.

Now, headlining the PlayStation Store's holiday sale is Assassin's Creed Valhalla for the PS4 and PS5. Currently, the standard edition of the game is available for $44.99, or 25% off its original price of $59.99. Additionally, both the Gold and Ultimate Editions of Assassin's Creed Valhalla are also discounted right now with the Gold Edition available for $74.99 and the Ultimate for $89.99. To the uninitiated, the Gold Edition of Assassin's Creed Valhalla includes the Season Pass and The Legend of Beowulf DLC expansion. Alternatively, the Ultimate Edition includes everything in the Gold Edition alongside three themed content packs.

Another noteworthy title that players can get for cheap right now is Watch Dogs Legion, which was released last October. Watch Dogs Legion is currently available for $29.99 or 50% off its original price of $59.99, making it a must-buy for fans of the franchise given that the game was just released a few months ago. Similar to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the Ultimate Edition of Watch Dogs Legion is also available for $59.99, which is 50% less than its list price of $119.99. The Ultimate Edition of the game includes the Season Pass, 4 unique heroes, extra DeadSec missions, a DeadSec car skin, and the Ultimate Pack.

Now, Call of Duty fans would be happy to know that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is also included in the PlayStation Store's sale. The PS4 version of the game is currently available for $44.99 or 25% off its original price. Additionally, the PlayStation Store is also offering the cross-gen bundle for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War that includes both the PS4 and PS5 versions in a single package for $54.99 from $69.99.

Although Black Ops Cold War received mostly favorable reviews after its launch, the game is currently having issues with its split-screen mode. According to player reports, the game would lag in matches when playing via split-screen that is said to be significantly worse than the split-screen in 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
