PlayStation 4 Holiday Bundle and Price Revealed

As Black Friday and the Holiday shopping season near ever closer, retailers and manufacturers have begun to unveil their planned deals for the upcoming shopping bonanza. While it hasn’t fully revealed all of its plans for Black Friday and beyond, Sony has unveiled the PlayStation 4 Holiday Bundle that will be available at retailers across the world.

The PS4 Holiday Bundle will retail for $199.99 and include a slim PS4 system, DualShock 4 controller, and 1 TB hard drive. The bundle also includes three games: The Last of Us Remastered, God of War, and Horizon: Zero Dawn: Complete Edition. The latter two games will be available as digital download codes while Last of Us is a physical copy of Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed game.

This package shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who regularly follow the deals market, as the PS4 Holiday Bundle leaked about a week ago. Everything seems to be exactly as the leaks claimed, right down to the specific versions of each game.

It’s a good price and a great selection of games for a PS4 bundle, but many will likely be waiting to see if there are any deals on the PS4 Pro. While there are no exclusive games, there are plenty of titles, first-party and otherwise, that run significantly better on the PS4 Pro. In fact, many titles outright struggle to hold a consistent frame rate at launch on the base PS4.

Still, the price is enticing and the games are among some of the best that the PS4 has to offer, which will be enough to generate plenty of sales this Holiday shopping season. As far as where gamers, parents, and gift-givers will be able to find this PS4 bundle, no retailers have been confirmed just yet. It’s safe to assume that the usual suspects of Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop, and Wal-Mart will have the bundle on offer but in what quantities and for how long is unclear.

And for those who might not be in the market for a PS4 (bundled or otherwise) but would like some games for their already-purchased console, there are more deal announcements to come. GameStop just announced its Pro Days Sale and the PlayStation Store’s Double Discount Sale is live with discounts on PS4 games and PS Plus subscriptions.
