2022 is off and the gaming industry is slowly building steam. With a number of titles set to be released for the PS5, Xbox One, and PC, players are eager to get their hands on the latest titles to keep themselves occupied.
While the biggest games across platforms are scheduled for launch later this year, people can grab several game-changing titles from the previous decade. Although these games have steadily declined in their popularity over the years, they are still fresh as ever with elaborate stories and unique gameplay to make most people happy. Take a look at these games from the PS3 and Xbox 360 era that are worth revisiting in 2022, at least until Elden Ring and Starfield come out.
Hotline Miami
Hotline Miami is an action game developed by Dennaton Games. The genre-defining indie game lets people play as a homicidal antihero on a murderous rampage against the shady underworld of Miami. Players must kill mercenaries, thugs, and bandits to uncover the truth behind the mysterious voices that haunt the antihero.
A single hit from enemies is all it takes to end the game and start over. Hotline Miami provides more than 30 different weapons including katanas, guns, baseball bats, and pipes to clear the stages. The game has an unmistakable visual style and a soundtrack that will stay with people long after they have completed all the chapters.

StarCraft 2
StarCraft 2 is a real-time strategy game that was released in July 2010. People can experience intergalactic warfare through 3 distinctly different races. Play as Terran, Zerg, or Protoss and conquer the galaxy in an epic adventure. StarCraft 2 offers three game modes: Story, Co-op, and Multiplayer.
Take control of hundreds of units, level up commanders, and lead an army into battle. . StarCraft 2 was the long-awaiting sequel of 1998's StarCraft, and while it took a while to reach its full potential, the game eventually blossomed into one of the greatest strategy titles on the market. After the game's original release in 2010, Blizzard released three more campaigns, concluding with 2016's Nova Covert Ops.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted
Published by Electronic Arts, Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a racing game released in October 2012. People can race through the streets of Rockport to become the best driver in the game. It has a Career mode that allows players to face numerous drivers and take on Razor, the top speedster in street racing.
Free Roam, Quick Race, and Multiplayer are a few of the modes in the game. It features more than 60 supercars that include Aston Martin DB9, Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Corvette C6, Ford Mustang GT, Porsche Cayman S, Toyota Supra, and Lamborghini Gallardo. From all the Need for Speed titles developed by Criterion Games, Most Wanted arguably comes the closest to capturing the magic of the developer's Burnout series.

South Park: The Stick Of Truth
South Park: The Stick of Truth is a turn-based RPG based on its eponymous TV series. The Stick of Truth brings the popular show's unique sense of humor into gaming as players become the iconic town's savior and fight for a place among the coolest fourth-graders in Colorado.
While the sequel, The Fractured but Whole, improves upon The Stick of Truth in a number of ways, particularly the gameplay, the 2014 entry is still a fun and short RPG that should satisfy even those who are not especially huge fans of the series. Join Cartman, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny to complete hysterical quests and enjoy a good laugh at the D&D and gaming tropes parodied by the game.

Injustice: Gods Among Us
Injustice: Gods Among Us has been utterly overshadowed by Injustice 2, a sequel that improves the gameplay so much that it makes its predecessor feel antiquated. While there is little reason to revisit Injustice: Gods Among Us' multiplayer, the game's story is still fantastic and, as shown by the underwhelming 2021 Injustice movie, could easily have been poorly executed.
The single-player is gripping, intense, and tragic; if someone plans to try Injustice 2, they should give the 2013 game a playthrough. If nothing else, it will enhance Injustice 2's narrative. The campaign can be completed in a couple of hours, so this game is unlikely to require more than maybe a weekend.

Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Age: Origins was released in October 2010. As one among the last few Grey Wardens, people explore a vast open-world filled with quests to complete and dungeons to discover. Collect rewards, gain resourceful party members, and defeat monsters and archdemons in BioWare's fantasy RPG.
The RPG offers more than 80 hours of enticing gameplay and a cast of admirable characters that make the journey fulfilling at every turn. The progression of the story depends on the choices made and can result in drastically different outcomes. Players can choose from hundreds of weapons, magical spells, and skills to customize their combat. With Dragon Age 4 in the works, those who have yet to dip their toes in this franchise should consider getting started, and Origins is still the best entry in the series. The RPG shines the brightest on PC, but the console versions are more than decent. If someone is looking for a way to fill a couple of months, they should just play through all of the Dragon Age games.

DmC: Devil May Cry
DmC: Devil May Cry is a fast-paced action game that was launched in January 2013. The hack-and-slash game provides a fresh take on the origins of Dante, taking place in a more "realistic" world compared to the earliest entries in Capcom's franchise. IN the game, Dante has access to plenty of iconic weapons, including Rebellion, Ebony & Ivory, Arbiter, Osiris, and Eryx.
DmC tends to be regarded as the black sheep of the franchise, and the release of Devil May Cry 5 made the reboot even more of an outlier than it already was. While it does not reach the heights seen by the strongest entries in the franchise, DmC is an enjoyable hack and slash game, something the gaming industry does not produce much of nowadays. Now that a proper Devil May Cry entry is out, DmC can be appreciated for what it is: an alternate reality diversion with decent gameplay.
