A new update from Sony adds even more to the upcoming PS VR2's lineup of launch titles with five new games confirmed to be coming to the VR platform on release. With only a couple of months left until the release of PS VR2, Sony has already shown off plenty of details about the upcoming VR headset. PS VR2 is set to launch with a variety of features to make the VR platform more accessible and comfortable for a variety of users, as well as revealing several major early games.

PS VR2 already looks to have a significant launch lineup with at least 20 games confirmed to be making their way onto the VR platform in February. Several popular games with VR like Among Us VR and No Man's Sky have already confirmed their status as part of the launch lineup for Sony's VR headset. Arguably the most notable launch game for the release of PS VR2 comes from Sony itself with the highly-anticipated Horizon: Call of the Mountain. Now, Sony has revealed another batch of games set to launch during the February release.

A new PlayStation Blog post has revealed five new games planned to launch with the debut of PS VR2, including a sequel to an early PlayStation 2 game. The newest launch additions all come from Japanese developers with Fantavision 202X, Altair Breaker, The Tale of Onogoro, Kizuna AI - Touch the Beat! and Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate revealed. The games cover a variety of genres from action and puzzle-solving games to rhythm games. Sony would also reveal X8 as another game set to come later from the same developers as Altair Breaker.

The new additions to PS VR2's launch lineup come from a variety of origins with a PS2 throwback and a well-known Virtual YouTuber featured among others. Fantavision 202X comes as a sequel to one of the PlayStation 2's launch titles, Fantavision, featuring puzzles revolving around fireworks. Kizuna AI - Touch the Beat! features the massively popular Virtual YouTuber of the same name as the star of a rhythm game featuring her original songs. All five games are planned to launch day-and-date alongside the release of PS VR2.

PS VR2's newest launch additions come as the VR platform already has several high-profile games planned for both its launch and the future. The VR version of Resident Evil Village is coming with the release of PS VR2 and Supermassive Games' Switchback VR was also previously confirmed as a launch title. PlayStation's newest virtual reality platform looks to have plenty in store for fans following its February debut.

PlayStation VR2 will be available on February 22.
