When it comes to gaming subscriptions and services, the free games offered are often the main focus (outside things such as needing it to play premium games online). PS Plus subscribers are eating pretty good so far this new year, as Sony is currently giving away Deep Rock Galactic for PS4/PS5, Persona 5 Strikers for PS4, and Dirt 5 for PS4 and PS5. Deep Rock Galactic, in particular, has garnered a bunch of new fans, while the others are solid offerings too.

However, there is often more to these subscription services such as discounts and other freebies, whether that’s on PS Plus, Xbox Live Gold, Amazon Prime Gaming, or any number of others. Now, those who picked up Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel now, shortly after release, can claim free card packs thanks to PS Plus (and, with cross-progression enabled, players get these cards on other platforms like Steam too.)

PS Plus subscribers on either PS4 and PS5 are able to claim 50 free card packs, with this offer lasting until April 1, 2022. There’s no rush, clearly, but as players dive into the new game, these new cards will certainly be helpful. Furthermore, it’s a great deal given the price of gems in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, so fans should be sure to take care of it.

All fans have to do in order to claim these cards is link their Konami account with their PlayStation Plus account. Then, this PS Plus exclusive deal will be in the PlayStation Store, and players can claim their cards. Those who want to play on a platform such as Steam can transfer their data and profile to that platform, and retain those cards, after doing so. It should be noted that the cross-progression system requires players to use the data transfer tool to move the profile via their Konami ID, so it must be the same.

As of this writing, there are no similar deals for Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel on other platforms like the Switch or Xbox. This is unfortunate for players limited to these platforms, but they shouldn’t dismay too much. Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel throws a lot of free gems (100 gems = 1 pack) at players during the tutorial and early missions, so while it’s not as much as PS Plus subscribers can get off the bat, those users can still work on building their deck to their preference.

PS Plus subscribers typically get a handful of free games every month.
