There's no doubt that being a subscriber to PlayStation Plus provides gamers with plenty of benefits, with one of the major advantages being able to download a selection of free PS4 games on a monthly basis. Another reason that one might want to become a PS Plus subscriber is due the fact that Sony Interactive Entertainment occasionally provides exclusive sales and discounts for members of the online service. Speaking of which, Sony now has a PS Plus Specials sale going on that offers PS Plus members a lot of price reductions within the North American PlayStation Store.

As of writing, PlayStation Plus members are able to take advantage of discounts up to 70% off on a wide variety of different titles both old and new thanks to the PS Plus Specials sale, with the deals set to last from now until April 30, 2019 at 8:00 PM PT. Not only does the sale include games for Sony's latest iteration of hardware in the PlayStation 4, but also it gives PS3 and PlayStation VR owners a chance to save some money, too.

A few of the more notable PS4 titles in the PS Plus Specials sale include the likes of sports games such as FIFA 19 for $18, NBA 2K19 for $18, NHL 19 for $18, and Madden NFL 19 for $12. What's more is that PlayStation Plus subscribers can get A Way Out for $18, Assassin's Creed Origins for $15, and Burnout Paradise Remastered for as little as $5. Not to mention, Dragon Age: Inquisition - Game of the Year Edition is as low as $10, while Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition can be bought for $7.50.

Those looking for PS3 deals would do well to know that the PlayStation Plus Specials sale offers Dead Space Ultimate Edition for $5, Dead Space 2 Ultimate Edition for $6, and Dead Space 3 Ultimate Edition for $6 as well. In addition to these deals, PS3 fans can also get Dragon Age: Origins for $4 and Dragon Age 2 for $4.

There aren't too many blockbuster PlayStation VR offers in this deal, but there is one of note. Currently, the PS Plus Specials sale knocks 25% off of Borderlands 2 VR, bringing the first-person shooter down to $37.50. The PS Plus Specials sale's full list of game deals can be found here in the PlayStation Store.

All things considered, while the PS Plus Specials sale likely won't satisfy everyone - especially those looking for deep discounts on the newest games - one can argue that there are some solid deals in the mix for those who have yet to pick up any of the aforementioned titles. And with PlayStation Plus' subscriber numbers presumably still growing at a decent clip, a lot of those users will likely appreciate Sony marking down the cost on a lot of its games via the PlayStation Plus Specials sale.
