A new rumor reveals that the PS1 game The Legend of Dragoon coming to the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus will have trophy support. Premium is the most expensive tier of the revamped PS Plus, and it comes with a few benefits over the Extra category.
As an example, PS Plus Premium members play select PS1, PS2, and PSP games at no extra cost, in addition to the ability to stream PS3 titles. Premium subscribers can also download trials for a set duration, as fans can play a three-hour trial for God of War Ragnarok as a part of their subscription. Sony has added trophy support for many games in the Premium tier, and a rumor now suggests that another PS1 classic, scheduled to come to PS Plus Premium in February 2023, will get trophies.
Sources close to TrueTrophies reveal that a trophy list for The Legend of Dragoon is being worked on for its release on the Premium tier of PS Plus, but it may not be ready for launch. However, the source has mentioned that trophies for The Legend of Dragoon will be added soon after its release on PS Plus Premium if they aren’t ready by its launch on February 21.
Sony recently added trophy support for classic games available on PS Plus Premium, with No Heroes Allowed and Super Stardust Portable both getting this feature. So, the rumor of The Legend of Dragoon getting trophy support may also be true. However, fans should note every rumor or leak should be taken with a grain of salt, and they will have to wait for an official confirmation on trophy support for The Legend of Dragoon.
Sony recently revealed the lineup of games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium in February 2023, confirming that some marquee titles will be available as a part of the subscription service. Sony announced that PS Plus members in these higher tiers can play Horizon Forbidden West, The Quarry, Scarlet Nexus, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, and more at no extra cost.
In addition to The Legend of Dragoon, PS Plus Premium users can play Wild Arms 2, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, and Destroy All Humans starting February 21. A recent rumor suggested that Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror is also scheduled to come to PS Plus Premium at some point, but it wasn’t a part of the classics lineup for February 2023
