Tuesday, October 18 is going to be a massive day for PlayStation Plus Premium, as that's the day that the highest-priced tier of PlayStation Plus is not only going to get a whopping 23 games added to the lineup, but also the day that it will be losing a popular horror game. Those who are signed up for the PS Plus Extra tier have a lot to look forward to as well, but those with PS Plus Premium are really getting some bang for their buck.

Before jumping into the game that's leaving PS Plus Premium on October 18, subscribers may be more interested in the titles that are coming to the service that day. As previously mentioned, 23 games are coming to PS Plus Premium on October 18. The bulk of these games will also be available on PS Plus Extra, but there are seven that are PS Plus Premium-only. They are Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Everyday Shooter, Limbo, Ultra Street Fighter 4, Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered, and Yakuza 5 Remastered, all PlayStation 3 games.

Another caveat that PlayStation Plus subscribers will want to keep in mind is that some of the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games coming on October 18 are only going to be playable on PS4. A reason for this has not been given, but those that haven't stored their PS4 consoles away yet can check out Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia, and Assassin's Creed Syndicate on October 18.

PS Plus Premium Games Leaving Soon

red-dead-redemption-1
  • Red Dead Redemption - October 17
  • Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare - October 17
  • Soma - October 18

The new games coming to PS Plus Premium on October 18 are what most subscribers will be focused on, but there is also a game leaving that day as well. In fact, there are three games that are set to leave PS Plus Premium early next week, with two scheduled to be removed on October 17 in the form of the original Red Dead Redemption and its standalone expansion pack, Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare.

Then on October 18, horror game Soma is leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium. It's disappointing for horror fans to see Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare and Soma leave the PS Plus Premium lineup during Halloween season, but new additions Limbo and Inside should help fill the void.
