It appears that the PlayStation Plus free games for May 2020 might have leaked online, and if they turn out to be accurate, it would be one of the service's biggest months yet. However, the leak doesn't have quite the same backing as last month, which saw a PS Plus trailer posted too early, confirming April's free games.

The two potential games are Dying Light, the parkour zombie game, and Dark Souls: Remastered. Both are major games filled with hours of content, and would certainly equal one of the more tantalizing months that PS Plus has had. That says a lot, as even the PS Plus games for April contained some pretty sizable titles, with Uncharted 4 and Dirt headlining.

However, the leak comes from a ResetEra user who says that their friend sent them the image containing the leak, though they aren't sure where their friend got it from. While it does look legitimate, such a thing could be faked with PhotoShop and a bit of time to kill, so it should be taken with a sizable grain of salt.

Dying Ligh Dark Souls Leak

It's possible that the friend saw an ad too early, which has been the case before. Just a few weeks ago, a leaked ad confirmed Spider-Man for PS Now, which turned out to be true. Things like that do happen from time to time, and the games would be cool to see as PlayStation Plus titles, but both Dying Light and Dark Souls: Remastered are major triple-a titles, so it could be a stretch.

That being said, Sony has had a good run with the free games lately, so it is possible. Either way, fans should know soon which games will actually be free next month. April is almost through, which means a fresh round of PS4 PS Plus games will soon be available for subscribers.

This is the last year with the PlayStation 4 as Sony's primary console, and so far, the free games the company has released have equated to an excellent send-off. Hopefully, that trend continues into the future, at least long enough to bag a few more major games before this generation is up.
