Sony recently announced its free PS Plus games for November, which includes a social deduction game in First Class Trouble. This means its core design is essentially similar to Among Us: some players are impostors and are trying to stop the players with “difficult decisions” and “whacky possibilities.” In short, First Class Trouble players are trying to shut down the Central Artificial Intelligence Network (CAIN) on the pace ship ISS Alithea, but Impostors (known as Personoids) are trying to take control of the ship.

It’s an interesting premise, and since its early access release on PC, it has maintained strong reviews online. First Class Trouble isn’t the only PS Plus free game for November 2021, obviously, but it is joining the service alongside Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, Knockout City, The Persistence, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, and Until You Fall. The last three are all part of the PSVR game selection for PS Plus, while the others are traditional games.

First Class Trouble: PS Plus Free Multiplayer Game for November 2021

PSVR games aside, it’s a pretty standard set of games for the month. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a remake of the classic, beloved RPG, while Knockout City is a multiplayer dodgeball game. It’s not uncommon to see multiplayer games on PS Plus because, depending on the game, they tend to come with one big benefit: an instant community. Knockout City may not need that, per se, but more than any other game in this line-up, First Class Trouble ought to really benefit from its PS Plus inclusion.

The big difference between First Class Trouble and Knockout City in this regard is that the latter, while unique, is a more straightforward multiplayer game. First Class Trouble is a social deduction game, with that genre becoming increasingly popular over the past few years. So much so, in fact, that a Fortnite game mode features social deduction, and other games have added it too. This genre is one of the big reasons Among Us blew up as it did, and it’s held as the “face” of that genre right now too.

With First Class Trouble releasing on PS Plus, ahead of Among Us’ console release in December, that bodes well for the game (and Among Us too, when it does release). If its PC reviews suggest anything, then it could be one of the most popular PS Plus games to release in November, and that instant community is going to make matches, getting into matches, and all of that a much better experience.

After all, there’s no doubting how PS Plus propelled Rocket League and Fall Guys into the public eye. It doesn’t happen with everything, but PS Plus has released enough games in a similar vein that Sony is definitely aware of this impact. If it can do it for First Class Trouble too, all the better for the PS Plus subscriber.
