November marks the final month of PlayStation Plus games available before the launch of PlayStation 5 and the start of the next-gen for many players. Based on what Sony has said so far, it doesn't seem like there will be any changes to the current PS Plus model right now, or for at least a couple of months.

If the launch of the PS4 is anything to go by, it's possible that smaller PS5 titles could be coming to the service relatively soon. But for the time being, the focus is on PlayStation 4, so here's our full PS Plus free games wish list for November 2020.

Dark Souls Remastered

One of the few truly next-gen launch games players can expect on PlayStation 5 will be Bluepoint Games' Demon's Souls remake, a ground-up remake of the PlayStation 3 classic that launched a whole new genre of games. And while Demon's Souls is exciting for anyone that was lucky enough to preorder a PS5 for launch, there will be millions of players that either can't get a next-generation console for a while or won't give the new game a shot because they're not sure if they'll enjoy it.

November could be a great time for Sony to partner with FromSoftware and give away Dark Souls Remastered on PS Plus, a 2018 remaster of the first game in the Dark Souls series and the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls. Dark Souls Remastered received strong reviews when it launched two years ago and is currently sitting at an 84 on Metacritic, praised for its improved visuals and enhanced performance, supporting 60 FPS on all platforms except the Nintendo Switch.

Dark Souls Remastered is available now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The Evil Within 2

A few days ago, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that the company had no monetary reason to first-party games on PlayStation 5, at least possibly hinting that games like Elder Scrolls 6 won't come to PS5. The news comes not long after an ESRB rating revealed that a number of Bethesda games could be released as collections on Xbox Series X/S but not PS5. Meaning that while the next game on the wishlist is potentially out of the realm of possibility now that Microsoft owns Bethesda, it's still a very good game and one that would be great for PlayStation Plus.

Released in 2017, The Evil Within 2 is a direct sequel to 2014's The Evil Within and is developed by Tango Gameworks, the team behind the upcoming PS5 timed exclusive, Ghostwire: Tokyo. Praised for its visuals, atmosphere, and survival-horror gameplay, The Evil Within was originally created as a spiritual successor to Resident Evil, and the sequel outshines its predecessor in almost every way. Sure, The Evil Within 2 has its fair share of faults and complaints from fans, but it's a solid survival horror game and a great way to showcase why players should look out for Ghostwire: Tokyo.

The Evil Within 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

MediEvil

After the success of Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, and Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, PlayStation partnered with developer Other Ocean Interactive to bring one of its own PS One classics to PS4 in the form of MediEvil. Originally announced as a remaster, MediEvil is a from-the-ground-up remake of the original game, overhauling the gameplay and graphics, and introducing brand new features such as the ability to toggle primary and secondary weapons, a third-person over-the-shoulder camera view, and new optional objectives called 'Lost Souls' that can be complete in order to unlock the original PS1 version of MediEvil in all of its glory.

MediEvil is out now on PlayStation 4.

Astro Bot: Rescue Mission

When players boot up their brand new PlayStation 5 for the very first time, the system will already have a free game preinstalled on the console called Astro's Playroom. Just like Sackboy, Sony is clearly trying to push Astro as a mascot character for the brand and rightfully so, as he's an adorable, family-friendly robot with a history of great games. To help push the brand further and show PSVR owners that they're not being forgotten, how about giving away one of the system's best VR games, Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, on PlayStation Plus in November?

Developed by SIE Japan Studio, Astro Bot: Rescue Mission is one of the most well-rounded and exciting games on PlayStation VR and perfectly showcases what the system is capable of (similar to what Sony is trying to do with Astro's Playroom). After receiving positive reception to the Robot Rescue minigame in PS4's The PlayRoom app, the first game to feature Astro Bot, Sony decided to expand the idea into a full-fledged game of its own, praised for its platformer gameplay and lovable characters.

Astro Bot: Rescue Mission is available now on PSVR.

PS Plus Collection

As a reminder, back in September Sony announced the PS Plus Collection, which contains some of the PlayStation 4's best games from both first-party and third-party developers that will be available for free for all PlayStation Plus members when PS5 releases early next month. From everything that's been revealed so far, it appears that the PS Plus collection will be an added benefit for PS Plus subscribers on PS5 but will not take away from the existing offer of two free PS4 games at the beginning of every month.

PlayStation Plus members receive two free games every month with their subscription.
