A new month and year are almost here, and that means fans will be getting a new selection of PS Plus games soon among everything else. Fans can expect this new selection to be officially confirmed on Wednesday, December 29, and released on January 4, 2022. But, many fans may also be aware that basically every PS Plus selection of the past six months has accurately leaked online.

Dealabs, a French forum website, has revealed every PS Plus game for the past few months to a high degree of accuracy. To top that off, it has also leaked every Epic Games Store mystery promo game so far, accurately as well. All leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, but Dealabs has leaked the next PS Plus selection and its word is stronger than most leakers in the industry, at least in this regard.

According to Dealabs, Deep Rock Galactic (PS5/PS4), Persona 5 Strikers (PS4), and Dirt 5 (PS5/PS4) will be the PS Plus free games for January 2022. Deep Rock Galactic is a four-player co-op game where players, as Space Dwarves using one of four classes (Engineer, Gunner, Driller, or Scout), must complete various missions in destructible, procedurally generated caves. Persona 5 Strikers is a Musou game set a few months after the main events of the first game, expanding upon that particular Persona universe.

Meanwhile, Dirt 5 is a racing game featuring a variety of tracks and racing styles such as rallycross, ice racing, Stadium Super Trucks, off-road buggies, and more with tracks and events across the whole world. There is a narrative to it, where players compete against their rival Bruno Durand in a series of championships, while a mentor guides them with advice.

Fans can expect these games on January 4, meaning fans can download the PS Plus free games for December 2021 until then. This month’s included Godfall: Challenger Edition, which has proven controversial; LEGO DC Super-Villains, for a fun little romp as the baddies; and Mortal Shell, an excellent Soulslike and way to pass time until Elden Ring releases.

Overall, it remains to be seen how well fans react to this selection of new games. There have definitely been worse months at first glance, and a co-op game, a Musou game, and a racing game at least have some variety for all types of PlayStation gamers.

PS Plus subscribers get a handful of free games every month.
