Sony has revealed the free PS Plus games subscribers can claim for December 2020. As was the case with November 2020, the free PS Plus games for December consist of three titles, comprised of two PS4 games and one release that will be available on both PS4 and PS5.

Beginning December 1, PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS4 can look forward to downloading Just Cause 4 and Rocket ArenaJust Cause 4 is the latest entry in the action-packed Just Cause open world series, whereas Rocket Arena is a hero-shooter that released this past summer to somewhat mixed reviews. Rocket Arena being part of the free PS Plus lineup for December 2020 could mean big things for the game, though, as it could give its community a serious shot in the arm. Of course, since the PS5 is backward compatible with PS4, both Just Cause 4 and Rocket Arena will be available to PS5 owners as well. Both games will be available to claim until Monday, January 4.

The free PS5 game that's part of the free PS Plus games for December 2020 lineup is Worms RumbleWorms Rumble is a battle royale take on the long-running Worms strategy game series, and will be launching with cross-play support. The PS4 version will also be available, which is in contrast to Bugsnax, which only made its PS5 version available to PS Plus subscribers.

Meanwhile, PS Plus subscribers can still claim the free PS Plus games for November 2020Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition will be available until the end of the month, whereas PS Plus subscribers on PS5 can claim Bugsnax for free until January 4. Previously, it was believed that PS5 PS Plus games would be available for two month intervals, as is the case with Bugsnax, but Worms Rumble only being available until January indicates that won't always be the case.

It will be interesting to see the free PS5 PS Plus game for January 2021 that replaces Bugsnax and Worms Rumble, but PS5 owners already know what's coming in February. Planned-PlayStation 5 exclusive launch title Destruction AllStars was hit with a last-minute delay, causing Sony to push the game back to February. Perhaps in an effort to make it up to fans who were disappointed by Destruction AllStars' delay, Sony confirmed that the game would be part of the free PS Plus games for February 2021 lineup. It remains to be seen which PS4 titles will be joining it.

Before PS Plus subscribers need to worry about the free games for February 2021, though, they can still claim the November and December 2020 offerings.
