A brand new Project CARS has just arrived, but perhaps not in the way that many would first expect. Project CARS GO is available to download right now for Android and iOS devices.

Project CARS is known as one of the better racing simulators out there, and many fans are anticipating the release of Project CARS 4 for consoles and PC. However, developer Slightly Mad Studios and publisher GAMEVIL have teamed up to provide a mobile experience instead -- Project CARS GO.

Although the game is played on mobile devices, Project CARS GO features AAA visuals and sound design that attempts to match that of a console experience. Meanwhile, very much the opposite of a console experience, the game controls with a mobile-optimized one-touch scheme.

Project CARS GO also allows players to control over 50 licensed real-life vehicles. The World Tour mode will allow players to earn rewards and upgrade their vehicles and take on ongoing challenges. Additionally, there will be Time Trials and Daily Invitationals in which payers will be able to race against players online from all over the world.

Project CARS GO is built to be both accessible and challenging, which is not an easy thing to pull off from a design perspective. But players can download the game now and find out if Slightly Mad Studios and GAMEVIL were about to pull it off. If nothing else, Project CARS GO will help pass the time as fans of the series wait patiently for Project CARS 4 and what may be the most realistic racing simulator ever.

Project CARS GO is available now for Android and iOS.
