Tfue, one of the best pro Fortnite players in the world and most popular streamers on Twitch, has been accused of cheating in the game during the Cash Cups for Chapter 2 of Season 2 in Fortnite, which gives players the opportunity to compete for real-life money.

Tfue has competed many times in tournaments and events within the game, as last year he qualified for the Fortnite World Cup, and was able to play adequately in the massive contest. However, this time around something fishy may be going on, as one Tweeter pointed out that Tfue may be doing what the community calls "smurfing" in order to place as high as possible in the Cash Cups.

Players are given a set of points for each elimination, placement, and victory royale. Tfue has been accused of "smurfing," or switching to a different account whenever he isn't performing well, which would thus help keep his score up. This is against the rules, as other pro players like Aydan, who argued the only reason he changed accounts was to lower his waiting time in-between matches, received a ban from Epic Games in the past for similar conduct. Pro Fortnite players are unfortunately known for doing nefarious things to qualify for events, as XXiF was caught teaming while qualifying for the Fortnite World Cup.

Some of Tfue's fans are siding with the famous content creator, as they claim he is constantly getting "stream sniped" while playing in the Cash Cups. Stream sniping is when players attempt to queue-up at the exact moment when their favorite streamers start a match so that they join the same game as the streamer, and thus know exactly where they are, what they are doing, how much health they have, and more at any given moment so they can go in for the easy kill. Ninja has thought that stream sniping could kill Fortnite.

The Fortnite Cash Cup prizes are low enough that Tfue gaining a competitive advantage just doesn't seem fair, as he apparently made around $20 million dollars last year. Whether or not Tfue is getting stream sniped shouldn't change any possible cheating on his part. And if he chooses to stream on Twitch while competing in the Cash Cups, he could also always choose to place a delay on his Twitch streams during the event.

Fortnite is available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Android, iOS, PC, and Mac.
