Provided you have a television (if you don't, why are you here?), you know the television show Prison Break, which premiered on Fox back in 2005 and ran for four seasons. A game - titled Prison Break: The Conspiracy - has been in development based on the first season for some time and developer Deep Silver has now released more screenshots to the public.

Suffice to say, the screenshots are a good example of graphics in the industry. Well, at least they would be, if it were 2001. The less-than-stellar graphics are merely "so-so" at best, making the game look like another sheep in the "Let's take a TV Show / Movie and turn it into a game" list. It's a large enough list, and none of the games on it are noteworthy. That said, the game isn't out yet - so I guess I shouldn't judge too much.

See for yourself after the jump.

Within the game, you play as Company Agent Tom Paxton (The Company is basically an evil corporation with billions in assets, but no money to budget a creative name for themselves) who is sent to Fox River Penitentiary to find out why Michael Scofield, an engineering genius with no criminal record, suddenly robbed a bank.

If you've already seen the show, you'll know the plot as it unfolds - as key scenes from the game will be re-enacted from Paxton's point of view (who didn't feature in the show at all - so we'll assume he was just to the left of the camera each time, like the guy from The Godfather game or Lost: Via Domus).

The game will be centered on stealth, espionage and the occasional bout of fighting. Like the television show, sneaking around will be the only strategy you can really go with. No word on whether the original voice actors will contribute to their characters, so don't expect to feel tingled by the creepiness in T-Bag's voice as he undoubtedly calls you a 'pretty boy'. Ah, Prison.

Guess we'll have to stay tuned to find out whether this game will make it or 'Break' it.

What do you think of the screenshots? Yay or nay? Are you intrigued by the idea of a Prison Break game?

Prison Break: The Conspiracy is scheduled to release March 26, 2010.
