They say that April showers bring May flowers, but in the gaming world, Amazon Prime Gaming brings more free games and in-game content. In April, Amazon Prime Gaming released eight free games, and the following month will bring six new titles, along with plenty of in-game content for other featured games.

Each month brings new games free for download to anyone with an Amazon Prime account, and May's lineup doesn't appear to disappoint. Last month, games like The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville were major hits, and some of the best free games available for paid subscription services.

Released in 2011, Dead Space 2 hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to an overwhelming wave of positive reviews. Scoring anywhere from the high-80s to the mid-90s, the game became an instant classic and surpassed its predecessor from 2008. The Curse of Monkey Island, originally released in 1997 on Microsoft Windows and then re-released in 2018 on OS X, is a single-player adventure game from developer LucasArts, following the story of the protagonist Guybrush Threepwood as he ventures on a journey to lift the curse from his beloved Elaine Marley. The beautiful 2D graphics of Out of Line offers the player a pleasant adventure game filled with puzzles in a mysterious world.

Amazon Prime subscribers will have four more days to claim the eight titles available in April before they're gone forever and replaced with May's free games. League of Legends fans may want to act quickly, as the Prime Gaming Capsule bundle is available until the end of the day, and the same can be said for PUBG Battlegrounds and Doom Eternal fans. For those who are not subscribed yet, Amazon Prime Gaming comes with a price of $14.99, but first-time users can access the service for free with a 30-day trial.
