Arkane Studios and Bethesda have released a demo for the Prey reboot and players have quickly found ways of leaving the designated play area. The demo was released ahead of the release of the highly anticipated sci-fi shooter later this week.

Designed to give players a taste of Arkane's take on the sci-fi horror genre and to see how the developer has made best use of the Prey trademark, the Prey demo actually offers more of the game than fans originally thought. On social media, players have shared their best methods of leaving the demo area, including using the game's GLOO gun weapon to climb up a broken down elevator shaft and access hard to reach areas. In one example, a player even bounced a crossbow arrow off of a blob of GLOO in order to hit a door switch.

And this is just the beginning of the secrets and tricks that Prey players have begun to uncover and share. In videos posted to YouTube, one Prey demo player offered up a way to 'easily' access the Pyschotronics area; just by busting a glass window and firing a crossbow directly at a door switch. Players have also noted that they can break a window on the other side of the door and unlock the door at the computer.

Moreover, in this video, one player has found a 'secret' safe which requires players to answer a series of questions to get to it. Once they get to the safe and open it, Prey demo players will not only gain access to three of the game's Neuromods which allow the protagonist to level up their skills and abilities. It even unlocks an additional mission as well.

Many fans will agree that this is massively promising for the game's full release in just a few days. Although Arkane and Bethesda have released several Prey gameplay trailers in addition to this playable demo, it suggests that this is barely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to hidden tricks and quirks in the game. It also makes it quite unlikely that even with the pace that players are discovering new things, they'll have found everything about these particular areas in the demo by the time the game proper is out.

Prey launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC starting May 5, 2017. The demo is available on PS4 and Xbox One.
