With Prey set to release this Friday on May 5, 2017, the forthcoming science fiction shooter's publisher Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios have decided to celebrate its impending availability by releasing the title's launch trailer. Now, in addition to learning about what the game's day one patch contains, fans can whet their appetites for a little bit more action ahead of it going on sale at the end of this week.

As seen below in the launch trailer for Prey, the video from Bethesda and Arkane Studios shows off some of the abilities players will be able to cultivate on board the space station in tumult known as Talos I. Not to mention, the footage presents a lot of different looks at the wide-ranging amount of enemies that will be hunting the protagonist Morgan Yu during the attempt to restore order to the moon orbiting station.

In addition to the abilities and enemies showcased in Prey's launch trailer, fans are given a glimpse at the main character's brother, Alex Yu. For those unaware, Alex is the head of Talos I, and developer Arkane Studios recently revealed in the game's "Only Yu Can Save the World" trailer that players' experiences on the space station will change depending on the relationship they maintain with their fictional sibling.

While Prey fans are certainly excited at the prospect of being able to jump into the action relatively soon, some PC players might be concerned that the game will suffer the same launch day fate as Arkane Studios' previous title, Dishonored 2, which encountered a bevy of bugs and glitches at release on the platform. With this being the case, the developer has promised that the game will have a "flawless" PC launch, as it has "doubled" its attentiveness to detail during the development process this time around. Hopefully, the same can be said of Prey's console versions as well, and we will find out soon if that's the case with the title's launch in a couple of days.

Prey is set to launch on May 5, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
