The Powerpuff Girls dynamic trio of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup is a perfect balance that can't be broken. Now that the live-action remake is just around the corner, fans everywhere are debating once again, which Powerpuff Girl they're born to be. For most ambitious girls, the answer is Blossom, but everyone secretly knows that Bubbles is the 'right answer'.

She's the sweetest of the three, on the inside and out. She is the joy and laughter of the group, and more importantly, the emotional glue of the trio. Her soft attitude and fragile character don't fool the fans though, they know that she's just as tough and strong as her two sisters. But she has her secrets as well about what makes her the force of nature she is.

10 She's The Only Powerpuff Girl Not Named After A Flower

That's mainly because, when Professor Utonium named Blossom, Bubbles began giggling. So the Professor decided to name her after her bubbly and joyful attitude.

She's also a bit different than her sisters. Of course, all three of them are unique, but Bubbles has a most innocent, childish attitude, but at the same time is the strongest in combat. So naturally, creators wanted to highlight her beautiful differences.

9 Her Personality Ingredient Is Sugar

Understandably, Bubbles is mainly made out of sugar. There's no doubt that this is true, she's the sweetest of the group after all. Everything she does is sweet and kind and represents sugar. All three girls have a 'main ingredient', and out of all the other ingredients, this fits her perfectly.

8 She Has More Than 10 Different Abilities

All three girls have a selection of superpowers they use mainly in combat, but sometimes in their everyday lives as well. Bubbles has more than 10 different abilities, but when really taken apart, this can go up to twenty.  Starting with her well-known scream that shatters glass and demolishes buildings, this skill is accompanied by her abilities to speak multiple languages (like Spanish, Japanese, and Squirrel), vaporizing, flying, her superhuman strength, speed, durability, and stamina, the electricity ball and blast blue laser beams, and her X-ray vision.

But it doesn't stop here. Bubbles seem to have no idea about all her powers, sometimes surprising the viewers with all new abilities they've never seen before, and probably won't see again. One of these is shown in the 'Los Dos Mojos' episode when she unleashes a big fury of red lightning around her.

7 Her Best Friend Is Octi

Octi was given to her by Professor Utonium and ever since then, she considered him her best friend. This four-legged, top hat-wearing octopus is a loyal companion to Bubbles, but also her great weakness, therefore can be used against her, as shown when HIM takes over it and tries to destroy Townsville.

6 Her Alter Ego Is Harmony Bunny

When choosing superhero alter-egos, it's understandable, that Bubbles doesn't base her choice on strength or basic 'superhero qualities'. No, her alter-ego is Harmony Bunny.

She dresses in a rabbit costume and carries around stickers in a lunchbox and a bunny doll while jumping around on a pogo stick. Next to Buttercup's 'Mange' and Blossom's 'Liberty Belle', Harmony Bunny could seem... underwhelming. But in fact, this perfectly shows why Bubbles is very important in the trio.

5 Her Male Counterpart Is Boomer

Each Powerpuff Girl has a male counterpart in the form of the Rowdyruff Boys. This group of villains was made with armpit hair, snails, and dog tails, with a little Chemical X, and they prove over and over again to be worthy opponents to the girls.

Boomer is a follower in the group but has an appetite for justice. He works great in the team but is constantly being picked on by his brothers. While Bubbles' naivety is tolerated by her sisters, Boomer doesn't enjoy the same equality. This again shows, that not only are the boys individually the 'villain counterparts' of the girls, but the entire group is an extremely negative version of the Puffs, showing what the dynamic would be like if they were bad.

4 Mojo Jojo Is Scared Of Her

This is possibly the biggest plot-twist in the character growth of Bubbles. After she single-handedly takes down Mojo Jojo in a fit of rage, making her the one to look out for in Mojo's eyes.

This shows, that despite her being seen as the week link in the group because of her sweet nature, she can become very independent and aggressive when provoked, proving that she's the most protective in the group, and this mixed with her emotions has extreme outcomes.

3 Her Pigtails Reflect Her Emotions

Each of the three girls has a couple of meanings and symbolism behind their iconic look. One of these being their hair. Blossom's hair is designed to resemble a cape, reflecting her role of being a leader. Unsurprisingly, Bubbles' pigtails reflect her emotions, because she's the emotional powerhouse of the three girls.

Fans may have already noticed this throughout the series but for the less attentive viewers, here's how the creators designed Bubbles' hair. When she's sad or nervous, they droop down, when she's excited or happy they point upwards, and when she's startled they stand straight up. This is just a little animation easter egg that only makes the characters more lovable and detailed.

2 She Emphasizes Her 'L's

Another endearing detail in Bubbles' character is the way she talks. Emphasizing her 'L's deepens her sweet and naive nature, and makes her a bit more juvenile than the rest of the girls. This makes the contrast of her 'two personalities' that much bigger.

Because of this, she's also considered the youngest of the Powerpuff Girls, because her nature combined with her emotional decision-making, and the way she talks all adds up to someone very small and sweet. This 'accent' comes through best when she says the name of Blossom, making her the big older sister she feels small next to.

1 Creators Forgot She's A Vegetarian

Some fans may remember, that in a few episodes of Powerpuff Girls it's mentioned that Bubbles is a vegetarian, but later in the show, she is shown eating meat. A fun fact within this fun fact is that her voice actress, Tara Strong is vegan.

A lot of early sitcoms and series had tiny plot-holes like this, but true fans never let them slide, especially now that binge-watching is a thing. But maybe Bubbles just changed her diet and never mentioned it? Or maybe she's the type of vegetarian who doesn't swear off seafood?
