About a couple of weeks ago, Hasbro, Lionsgate, and nWay officially released a reveal trailer for the fighting game dubbed Power Rangers: Battle For the Grid, with the footage featuring a glimpse at some of the playable characters to come in the title. Now, it looks as if the companies are keen to slowly eke out additional information about the forthcoming release, as a new gameplay trailer has been published today showcasing a glance at some 3v3 combat.

The gameplay reveal trailer for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid indicates that nWay will be taking inspiration from other fighting game franchises such as Dragon Ball FighterZ and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and 3, as players will seemingly be able to use assists and swap between three different characters on the fly. Unfortunately, though, the latest piece of footage doesn't unveil any new fighters, as it only reconfirms the existence of the Green, Red, and Yellow Rangers.

Not too much else has been revealed about what players should expect from Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid other than the fact that all of the game's supported platforms will feature cross-play and cross-progression capabilities–that is, except for the PS4 version. This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, though, as Sony hasn't enabled the feature on too many high profile titles, save for the likes of Fortnite and Rocket League.

Taking everything here into consideration, while Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid shows some promise, nWay will definitely need to start revealing new characters soon in order for players to maintain a healthy level of interest up through its release. After all, the superhero fighting game is going to have some stiff competition once it launches later this year, as NetherRealm Studios' highly anticipated brawler Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled to drop in April for the same platforms, too.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is scheduled to release at some point in April 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
