Gamers seem to love taking popular games such as the Pokemon franchise and mashing them together, coming up with creative and cool ideas. This is especially true with artists mashing concepts together with the recently announced Pokemon Violet and Scarlet. One artist is doing just that by mixing the classic series with a new hit.

An artist on Twitter going by the handle Bromojumbo has crossed Pokemon and Elden Ring by mixing together Ghost-types Sinistea and Polteageist with the ARPG's Pot Friend. The result is new forms for both of the Pokemon. The two Ghost-types now feature designs similar to the Pot Friend, with elements of both being recognizable.

Bromojumbo's art has received lots of positive attention. Many seem to enjoy the new look of the two Pokemon, with the only criticism that the artwork is receiving revolving around Bromojumbo's assigned typing of Sinistea and Polteageist. They assigned Sinistea and Polteageist the secondary Steel-type to go along with their Ghost-type. Rather than the Steel-type, many are stating that the Ground or Rock-type would have been more fitting. There was also mention that the Pokemon would be more suited to the Water-Typing, as they are tea in jars, which would require water to make. Either way, the designs suit the two pocket monsters, and do a good job and drawing inspiration from Elden Ring.

The Pot Friend that Bromojumbo mixed Sinistea and Polteageist with was first revealed in a trailer for Elden Ring at the 2021 Summer Game Fest. At the time it was dubbed Pot Boy by gamers, with the Pot Friend creature quickly becoming a popular meme. While many loved the cute design, some were fearful, as they knew they would likely have to kill the creature. Aside from arms and legs, the most defining characteristic of Pot Friend is the spiral design that circles around its upper edge. This was changed in Bromojumbo's take on Sinistea and Polteageist to glyphs, which suit the Pokemon better. More cracks and holes were added to the pots of Sinistea and Polteageist, aligning more with their look in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

This is not Bromojumbo's first time mixing Elden Ring and Pokemon, as the artist recently came up with new forms for Voltorb and Electrode based off of FromSoftware's game. The two Pokemon were made to be Electric/Dark-types, with Electrode receiving a very sinister look. Bromojumbo did state that if gamers are enjoying this series of Elden Ring and Pokemon mash-ups, there are a few more on the way. After the new forms for Sinistea and Polteageist, it will be interesting to see what else Bromojumbo can come up with.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are expected to release in 2022 for Nintendo Switch.
