With major streaming sites like Mixer and Facebook recently paying big sums of cash to acquire notable figures in the industry, it seems every big name from Dr DisRespect to Disguised Toast has been approached with a lucrative deal to become exclusive to a specific streaming platform. In turn, this has led to a number of big names signing huge deals, with perhaps the biggest being Ninja's decision to become exclusive to Mixer.

One name that has always cropped up in these discussions is Pokimane. The popular Twitch mainstay has allegedly been offered a number of major exclusivity deals, with many of her biggest fans worrying that she might be set for a massive jump to the likes of Mixer or Facebook. As it turns out, Pokimane won't be going anywhere, with the popular streamer signing a new, multi-year exclusivity deal with Twitch.

Announced via a hilarious video on Pokimane's Twitter, the streamer baits her followers into believing that she will indeed make the jump to a new streaming platform. The short teaser features a number of sweeping panoramic views with a dramatic voice-over announcing that a major change is coming. The video then closes in on Pokimane's home, moving through her hallways until the camera reaches her door. Inside, Pokimane is setting up to stream on Twitch. She seems confused regarding this supposed massive announcement, instead announcing that nothing will change and she's going nowhere. It's a brilliant video that riffs on many of the needlessly dramatic trailers used to reveal streamers signing deals with streaming platforms.

Pokimane then elaborates on the trailer in a short followup video on YouTube, claiming that she was offered a number of incredibly high bids but opted to stick with Twitch instead of switching over to a different platform. Supposedly, the decision wasn't an easy one either, with the gaming icon claiming that it came down to both Twitch and a second mystery bidder. Supposedly, the latter's offer dwarfed that of Twitch's, with Pokimane claiming "the differential was more than I have in my bank account right now."

Overall, it seems the streamer's decision came down to a number of factors, including her love of the community, Twitch's superb lack of delay time, and the streaming service's high-quality servers. Evidently, it was not a choice taken lightly, and no doubt Pokimane's incredibly passionate fans will be pleased that her exceptional streams won't be changing anytime soon. She does, however, claim that her decision isn't meant to discredit anyone who opted to accept deals from other streaming platforms and celebrates that streamers are currently such a highly investable commodity.
