Twitch streamer Imane "Pokimane" Anys revealed that she doesn't see Twitter trolls because she pays people to block them for her. Pokimane, or Poki for short, is one of the biggest streamers on the platform and previously held the "most-watched" title—which Amouranth now claims for 2022—before deciding to stream less.

Known for her variety streams and being part of content creation company OTV, Pokimane has managed to expand her brand and made a name for herself beyond Twitch. Apart from being a content creator under OTV, she's also the co-founder, along with LilyPichu and former League of Legends pro Scarra. Outside the Twitch and YouTube world, Pokimane is a brand partner and creative director of Cloak, a clothing company owned by Jacksepticeye and Markiplier, and the co-founder and chief creative officer of talent management company RTS.

During her January 31 stream, Pokimane spoke about the deepfake controversy involving Atrioc, which prompted her to tweet out "stop sexualizing people without their consent" beforehand. One viewer thanked her for the tweet and said that their mute list grew because of it, which Pokimane acknowledged and said that her block list grows when trolls tweet at her. The streamer then revealed her "biggest secret" to avoid seeing abusive tweets, which is that she pays other people to block them for her. She further said that if users noticed they were blocked, "it wasn't even me."

The clip made its way to the LivestreamFail subreddit where Pokimane fans and Twitch viewers seemed to be empathetic of the streamer's methods, with many asking where they could apply to help out in blocking trolls. One user compared it to having Twitch mods on Twitter, which they admit is a good idea for a big streamer like Pokimane.

Some viewers were also concerned that Pokimane's intentions might get twisted into something negative, but it is common for people and brands to have a dedicated social media team (or person) to keep an eye on their accounts. Pokimane, especially, often receives hateful tweets targeting anything from her past actions to sporting her naturally curly hair and has vowed to discipline online trolls. So, it doesn't come as a surprise to her avid viewers and followers that she would pay someone to block them for her.

Nowadays, Pokimane has been streaming fewer hours on Twitch, uploading fun videos on her YouTube channel, and filming content with OTV. In one of her YouTube videos, she said that she wants to focus on her health more, and based on how she's handling social media hate, she seems to be on the right track.
