Fandoms are often overlapping, as fans of one show or game may be fans of another as well, and a Pokemon fan recently created a party based around Yu-Gi-Oh. This party feels more like one of Seto Kaiba's decks than an average Pokemon party, and it captures the essence of the cards he plays with.

A Redditor known as Tophtootough recently posted a Yu-Gi-Oh-themed Pokemon team that they created to the Pokemon community page. This combination of two popular anime stimulated the interest of several fans of both series. The team of Pokemon is comprised of a trio of Reshiram, Spiritomb, Golurk, and Hydreigon.

According to the Redditor, the Seto Kaiba Pokemon party has three Reshiram who represent the three Blue-Eyes White Dragons that Kaiba typically uses in a duel. Yu-Gi-Oh features Fusion, which allows monsters to combine together to create more powerful monsters — a feature that's absent from Pokemon. With Fusion in mind, Tophtootough's idea is that the three Reshiram are combined to create the three-headed Hydreigon which represents Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

While many Redditors weren't quick to realize what card that Spiritomb represented, Tophtootough confirmed that the ghost-dark type Pokemon represents a trap card. Yu-Gi-Oh's Seto Kaiba often uses a trap card known as Crush Card Virus that allows Kaiba to destroy a powerful card in his opponent's hand. Spiritomb represents the Crush Card Virus trap card. Finally, Golurk is a ground-ghost type Pokemon that represent Seto Kaiba's Egyptian God card known as Obelisk the Tormentor.

Seto Kaiba began Yu-Gi-Oh as a villain and slowly transitioned to becoming a hero through his extensive character ark.  This Pokemon party may be the ultimate representation of Seto Kaiba in the Pokemon franchise, but it's still missing the heart of the cards. Although Kaiba is a wealthy TCG fan in the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, Tophtootough didn't have a party of shiny Pokemon like Kaiba would have a party of shiny cards. Three Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards being used in a Yu-Gi-Oh duel may be a necessary measure to summoning Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, but a team of three Reshiram will never be allowed at the competitive level of Pokemon.

Many other Redditors took to the comments on this post to suggest other Pokemon that would fit well in this Yu-Gi-Oh Seto Kaiba-themed party that Tophtootough created. One of the suggestions is that the Redditor use Mr. Mime as this Pokemon party's version of Saggi the Dark Clown and Peten the Dark Clown which Seto Kaiba both included in his deck. One witty Redditor suggested that Mega Gallade should be included in this Pokemon party as a representation of Seto Kaiba himself.
