In the expansive world of Pokemon, there are many different Gym Leaders. Each specializes in a different type of Pokemon, whether that's Fire, Water, Grass, or something else. Gym Leaders have unique personalities, physical traits, and Pokemon preferences that align with various Zodiac signs.
For example, water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) tend to be more sensitive and emotional. Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) tend to be more passionate and temperamental. Earth signs (Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus) are more grounded and hardworking. And air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) are more social and philosophical.
12 Allister: Scorpio
Known as "the silent boy of mystery," Allister is most like a mysterious Scorpio. As the Gym Leader of Stow-on-Side, Allister refuses to take off his mask and specializes in Ghost-type Pokemon. Like a Scorpio, Allister is brave, secretive, emotional, and imaginative.
Allister claims to be able to see ghosts but isn't afraid of them. In Pokemon Go, Ghost-type Pokemon are among the hardest to catch, so players should learn from Allister and keep a cool head when interacting with them.
11 Nessa: Pisces
Known as "the raging wave," Nessa is a Water-type Pokemon expert, so it makes sense that she'd be most like a Pisces. She stands as the Gym Leader of Hulbury.
Nessa comes from a humble background but has since grown into an impressive gym leader and model. Like a Pisces, she is empathetic to those she trusts, but is closed off to most of the world and has a hard time accepting help from others.
10 Misty: Cancer
Misty is one of the most recognizable and iconic Pokemon trainers of all time. She is a Water-type specialist and the Gym Leader of Cerulean City. Given the kind of Pokemon she keeps around, it's safe to say that Misty enjoys Pokemon with cuter designs.
Misty has a down-to-earth appearance and is very kind to her friends. Like a Cancer, she is sensitive so can be easily hurt or frustrated.
9 Giovanni: Gemini
Giovanni is the former leader of Team Rocket and was the Gym Leader of Viridian City. He's considered to be a tough Gym Leader to beat, with many high-level Pokemon in his arsenal.
Like a Gemini, Giovanni is sophisticated and charismatic but also has a dark side and can be impulsive. He can be social and always looks put together and ready for an important event.
8 Melony: Libra
Melony is the Gym Leader of Circhester in Pokemon: Shield. While she doesn't play a huge part in the game's story, she makes quite the impression on trainers. Melony specializes in Ice-type Pokémon and is the mother of Gordie.
Like a Libra, Melody plays fair in a fight and follows all the rules she sets for herself. She is kind but doesn't take losing well. In true Libra fashion, Melony is self-pitying, so if she loses a battle she may be melodramatic.
7 Piers: Aquarius
Piers is the Gym Leader of Spikemouth and the captain of Team Yell. He loves Dark-type Pokemon and has a feisty, rebellious energy.
Like an Aquarius, Piers is independent, a natural rebel, and somewhat eccentric. At the same time, he comes across as a bit of a loner, as many Aquarians do because of their free-thinking, eclectic nature.
6 Raihan: Aries
Gym Leader Raihan specializes in Dragon-type Pokemon, making him a challenge to most trainers on their Pokemon journey. Pokemon Masters EX fans recently got to try their hand at taking on the challenging Galar gym leader.
In terms of personality, Raihan is addicted to his cell phone and is a passionate and confident leader who isn't afraid to take charge. Like an Aries, he's honest, brave, and courageous. He can also be impatient and full of energy.
5 Kabu: Sagittarius
Kabu is a Fire-type specialist and Gym Leader of Motosoke. Passionate about achieving his goals, Kabu is most like the fire sign of Sagittarius.
He is able to adapt to challenges and is wise, fair, honest, and optimistic. Kabu believes that the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong journey.
4 Bede: Leo
Bede is a Fairy-type specialist and Gym Leader of Ballonlea. In Pokemon: Sword and Shield, he often gets a bad rap for being arrogant, dramatic, and overly confident. However, Bede is somewhat misunderstood and possesses many traits of a Leo.
Bede's outgoing and confident nature consistently intimidates opponents in battles. And clearly, Opal saw Bede as a determined leader fir for Ballonlea. In order to collect Fairy-types that rival Bede's, players should explore the areas best suited for catching them.
3 Brock: Taurus
Brock is the Gym Leader of Pewter City and specializes in Rock-type Pokemon. He is well-known for possessing the classic Taurus traits of being down-to-earth, level-headed, and loyal at all times. Brock is consistent, reliable and a great friend to have around.
Compared to others, he's often the wisest and mature in the friend group. He has been iconic since the first generation of Pokemon, so fans might be surprised to discover some things about him that aren't common knowledge.
2 Milo: Virgo
Milo is the Grass-type specialist and Gym Leader of Turffield. Similar to a Virgo, Milo is humble, hardworking, and motivated by his goals. He's also kind and has a clear, positive outlook on life.
He doesn't get bogged down by mind games, instead preferring to battle fairly and efficiently. He trains hard at home and maintains a clear focus on the battlefield.
1 Gordie: Capricorn
Gordie is Melony's son and a Gym Leader of Circhester in Pokemon: Sword. He specializes in Rock-type Pokemon. In true Capricorn fashion, Gordie is very hardworking. So if he loses, he doesn't take failure well and may take it a bit too personally.
Gordie takes everything seriously and doesn't brush off losses. He may believe he is unbeatable, but upon being humbled will acknowledge and respect a superior Pokemon trainer.
