The Pokemon Company has just teased one of its literally biggest Pokemon products yet, a Wailord plush. Soon, avid Pokemon collectors will get the chance of purchasing what will probably be the largest plush ever released by the company. Many Pokemon fans were expecting the Wailord for a while now. The brand is well-known for its plushes, which have been on sale for decades, and normally come in different sizes, ranging from a small Pikachu to a large Psyduck, for example. The Wailord, however, big as it is, has been at the center of production troubles before. Back in 2021, a Wailord figure was canceled because it was deemed too big. Its creators were afraid that if the product was too large, collectors would have a hard time storing the piece and buying it, as it would end up with a larger cost than average.RELATED: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Reveals New Plush Toys of the Three Starters, LegendariesNow, The Pokemon Company has delighted fans by unveiling the first piece of information about its newest product on Twitter: the mighty Wailord plush. In a short 15-second teaser, which zooms over the image of the new plush, we can see one of the sides of the plush’s face. To get an idea of how much the new toy may cost, it’s possible to look at the huge Garchomp plush released last year. This plush had around 70 inches of width, 31.5 inches of height, and 63 inches of length, as well as a cost of around $390 during its launch. The Wailord is expected to be even bigger than that, so it will likely cost more, too, but the official price has not been announced at the time of this writing.

The Water-based Wailord is the largest Pokemon ever created, with a height of 47' 07", and weighing 877.4 lbs. In fact, it’s so big that a modder had to return it to its proper size in the recent Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl games to see this whale-based Pokemon in its full glory. Originally, the Wailord was introduced in the third generation of Pokemon games with the number #321 as the evolution of Wailmer. Ever since then, it has been a fan favorite.

With releases like this, the Pokemon franchise keeps going strong. Not only fans saw the launch of both Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet back in 2022, but Pokemon GO is also constantly receiving updates, and players may even see new Pokemon such as Regieleki, Regidrago, and Kleavor in the next season update. So, fans have plenty of options both in games and merchandise such as plushes to pick from if they love the franchise.
