The Pokemon franchise has amassed popularity across the gaming world. However, the series has not stopped there as fans can enjoy the Pokemon series in many formats. There is the Pokemon anime or trading card game as official means of consuming the franchise while some fans enjoy engaging with fan-produced content. One example is a fan who creates their own figurines for different Pokemon from across the series. What sets their work apart however is the use of LEGO bricks

Venusaur is the grass and poison type starter Pokemon from Pokemon Red and Blue. Evolving from Bulbasaur, Venusaur sports elements of both a reptile and a toad with its mixture of claws and bumpy skin. This combined with the flora details throughout its evolutionary line has garnered the seed Pokemon many fans. Due to this popularity, Venusaur is the next in line as has received a LEGO figure constructed by this one talented fan.

A user on Reddit by the name of brickmill uses an assortment of LEGO pieces to create a model of Venusaur, attempting to maintain each of the Pokemon's intricate details. Visually Venusaur is the most complex of the Kanto starter Pokemon, especially when considering how to construct the palm-tree-like flower on its back. Despite this, brickmill manages to construct an impressive re-creation of the seed Pokemon while accounting for the inherently limited nature of LEGO bricks.

Despite the small size of the Venusaur figure, the endeavor likely took a large amount of time, given how intricate Venusaur's design is. While this may be the most recent LEGO figure of a Pokemon that brickmill has created, they have produced other pieces of a similar level of detail. These include Pokemon such as Snorlax, Slowking, Gardevoir, and a shiny Metagross. Brickmill has also crafted LEGO figures for the Straw Hat Pirates from One Piece.

Naturally, many Pokemon fans have shown their support for brickmill's work on this figure. LEGO being something that many people enjoyed when they were children may play a role in their excitement for seeing their favorite Pokemon combined with LEGO. Some fans have noted that the LEGO figure of Venusaur appears as if it jumped right out of the video game, possibly referencing the low-poly designs featured in Pokemon Stadium for the Nintendo 64.

As Pokemon continues to grow further in popularity, audiences are likely to see the franchise stretch into different types of properties. This will possibly lead to the franchise reaching new potential fans who can enjoy the content produced by Pokemon fans.
