It is probably an understatement to say that the Pokemon series contains a large assortment of eye-catching Pokemon. Among these pocket monsters, one of the most striking designs likely goes to the Vaporeon. With this in mind, it is understandable that the creature has become one of the more recognizable Pokemon in the franchise.

The Vaporeon is a Water-type Pokemon that first appeared way back in Gen 1. Since then, it has become a mainstay of the franchise, appearing in numerous games over the last couple of decades. The Pokemon features a body that blends land and aquatic elements. For example, it can walk on 4 legs but also features a tail fin and several fin-like appendages around its head. In addition, it is one of the final forms of Eevee and can dissolve into water, rendering it invisible. Recently, one gamer paid homage to this iconic Pokemon in an intriguing way.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as umbratundra shared a video of a recent doll they made based on the Pokemon series. Specifically, this creation was modeled to look like a Vaporeon. The results of the project were impressive, to say the least. The doll contained many of the same features as the Water-type Pokemon. However, the artist interestingly decided to give the Pokemon a coat of fur, giving it an almost cat-like quality.

In addition to showing off the final artwork, the video revealed the many steps that went into making the doll. Among the highlights of the process, the artist had to make a diagram that mapped out all the parts of the Vaporeon's body. After that, they made a skeleton system for the doll that would support the other elements of the design while also allowing the model to be placed into various poses. Some other steps involved sowing the fabric for the design together and making a resin cast of the head of the Pokemon. When everything was completed, the artist revealed that it took them 30 hours to finish the Vaporeon Doll.

Since umbratundra posted this incredible Vaporeon doll on Reddit, numerous Pokemon fans have commented on the design. With an impressive 21.7K upvotes in less than a day, many were blown away by the attention to detail the creator put into their work. "Really amazing quality of work and I like how you made it appear more realistic," Nocturnal377 said on Reddit. In addition, umbratundra revealed that they had made other dolls based on the Pokemon series, such as a collection of all the Eevee evolutions.

It is exciting to see passionate fans of the Pokemon community come up with creations based on the franchise. In addition to this Vaporeon doll, another gamer recently made a crochet doll of Ditto that could transform into an Electrode. It will be interesting to see what other fans make based on the popular franchise in the coming days. Maybe umbratundra will decide to make even more dolls designed after popular Pokemon.
