Throughout the many years Pokemon has been around, many fans have seen the series as a source of inspiration. From plushies to fan-made Pokemon designs, plenty of talented players have made something in tribute to the franchise they love. One fan has shared a rather unique craft project they made that should interest fans of Pokemon Gold and Silver and their remakes, as they've taken the time to carve out an Unown-themed ouija board.

Unown are curious critters that were introduced in the second generation of Pokemon that are inspired by the letters of the alphabet. Each letter has an Unown that takes its shape, resulting in these creatures being one of the Pokemon with the most alternate forms out of the 898 available currently, with a whopping 28 in total including the two punctuation marks.

Reddit user 32RabbitTeeth has shared an image of their custom Unown ouija board, which looks to be etched in with a wood-cutting laser. The board is fairly simple and has the usual words and letters for responses, such as "yes," "no," and "goodbye" at the bottom. All of the characters are written in the Unown lettering, including the numbers which aren't official, but fan-made forms for the creatures.

The original poster has stated that when working on the board, they simply used an Unown font they found on the internet which included the numbers, leaving the person who designed them unknown for the time being. As the tool used to navigate the board, the carver has also made a special wooden ring to go with the board, making one half using light wood and the other half using a darker shade in order to represent a Poke Ball.

The craft may be simple-looking, but it is indeed impressive and unique. While many fans create papercrafts of Pokemon locations and creatures, along with plushies and artwork, not many people would think to make an ouija board themed after one of their favorite franchises. That in part may have to do with the rumors and myths about the device regarding summoning supernatural entities.

As part of that, the comments are filled with other fans saying that while the device is cool-looking, they would never touch it; saying that messing with an ouija board is "no joke," even with a Pokemon motif. Other fans are running with the comments for fun, saying that they'll summon ghost-type Pokemon with the board. The Reddit user who made the item has yet to respond to the comments, so it's unknown if the board will simply sit on a shelf, or see legitimate use in the future.
