The new multiplayer online battle arena title Pokemon Unite has given franchise fans a new way to experience Pokemon battles. However, with innovation comes the risk of creating loopholes for unscrupulous players to sneak through. After players discovered an exploit in the Pokemon Cramorant, the Pokemon Unite team has officially asked that gamers not purposely abuse the bug while it's being resolved.

Cramorant, the Gulp Pokemon, is a dual-type Flying/Water Pokemon introduced as part of the Gen 7 roster. It is a gluttonous avian Pokemon with a huge appetite that plays a significant role in its fighting style. Cramorant can change forms with its Gulp Missile Ability, which allows it to switch from Gulping Form Cramorant and Gorging Form Cramorant.

In Pokemon Unite, Cramorant serves as an unorthodox ranged Attacker specializing in crowd control or unleashing rapid assaults on the opposing team. New Pokemon Unite players are advised that Cramorant is unexpectedly effective in this game, despite its current lack of competitive viability in mainline Pokemon series titles. However, the recent discovery of a bug that allows players to make Cramorant completely invincible until the next time it scores has taken the Pokemon to game-breaking levels.

The glitch involves interrupting Cramorant's scoring animation with one of the Pokemon's moves to extend a brief moment of invincibility. The result is a Pokemon that is functionally invincible until it scores again, leaving plenty of room for players to harass their opponents. YouTuber TheWise1 provided a short video of the process showcasing how the glitch can be achieved and what it looks like in action. However, the Pokemon Unite team has already taken to Twitter to address the glitch. The tweet refers to the issue as a "major bug" and promises that the team is in the process of resolving the issue. In the meantime, players are asked not to abuse the glitch to gain an invincible Cramorant deliberately.

As of writing, it appears that other Pokemon Unite players have encountered the invincible Cramorant glitch in matches. This isn't the first time a bugged Pokemon has seriously affected matches, but the results appear to be quite irritating. Some users commenting under TheWise1's video reported surrendering upon encountering a bugged Cramorant, while another accidentally got themself killed coming to the aid of a Cramorant who didn't need it. One user jokingly asked when Cramorant learned Wonder Guard, an Ability introduced in Gen 3 that makes the Pokemon in question immune to any damaging move that isn't super effective.

Pokemon Unite is available on Android, iOS, and the Nintendo Switch.
