This tanky Ice-type pocket monster represents one of the many strong wild pokemon that players can fight in the franchise's popular MOBA game. Those wishing to get some great advantages in one variation of Pokemon Unite's Quick Battles should seek to beat Avalugg after it spawns in the center of Shivre City.

However, defeating Avalugg will be no easy task, and players should approach this iceberg of a beast carefully, lest they meet their cold doom at the wild pokemon's wrath.

As mentioned before, Avalugg spawns in the center of the map, however, they respawn repeatedly, meaning that players can take advantage of the boon one's team can gain by defeating the large Ice-type pokemon multiple times. Be sure to keep an eye on the timer for this section of the map (which is also shown on the minimap), as it will count down to when Avalugg spawns.

The Best Ways To Beat Avalugg

Attacking Avalugg With Teammates

As is appropriate for a multiplayer game revolving around teamwork, jolly cooperation can be the ideal method of tackling Avalugg. Not only will this greatly increase how quickly one can deplete Avalugg's HP bar, but it will also mean that the Ice-type pokemon will split its attention between multiple targets, effectively minimizing how much damage each player takes.

Furthermore, if teammates rotate their attacks by having only one member exit the area at a time to heal, a side can keep up a sustained assault that will prevent Avalugg from regenerating all of their loss HP. If all players exit the area where Avalugg lurks, the beast of ice will become fully healthy once more, negating all of the progress made by the player and their allies.

Stealing Takedowns From The Opposing Team

Like with other powerful wild pokemon found in other maps, such as Regigigas in Auroma Park or Zapdos in Mer Stadium, the effects granted by defeating Avalugg are applied to the team of the player who struck the final blow. This means that players can potentially hide in some tall grass and wait for their time to strike, stealing the takedown and the effects for their own team while camping nearby and watching the enemy team do all the hard work.

What Avalugg Does In Battle

When facing off against this frosty behemoth, they will use large shields to defend themselves from attacks while also unleashing offensive Ice-type moves occasionally that players should watch out for, as they do a fair bit of damage.

What Effects Avalugg Gives

After being beaten, Avalugg will give the team that took it down a shield on their goal that will hinder opponents trying to score. Furthermore, they will apply an ice shield to the entire team, which will significantly reduce the damage they take for a time. Teams that can take advantage of these buffs will be much more likely to win Quick Battles in Shivre City.
