Pokemon Unite is a new multiplayer title that has attracted both MOBA players and Pokemon fans alike. Having reached the 5 million total pre-registrations mark, developer TiMi Studios is giving Pokemon Unite accounts 1000 Aeos Tickets, a Pikachu License, and the Festival Style Pikachu Holowear—all for free. Players must complete an event and claim these rewards before a specific date, or they will lose their chance at acquiring them.

How to Get Free Pikachu and Holowear Preregistration Rewards in Pokemon Unite

To claim their pre-registration rewards, players must log in to the mobile version of Pokemon Unite and complete a special log-in event between September 22 and October 31. TiMi Studios has given the very specific end-time of 7:59 a.m. PDT on October 31.

Playing the Switch version between these dates will not be enough to earn the free Pikachu and Holowear. However, as Pokemon Unite data will be cross-platform, completing the event on mobile means the rewards will be applied if trainers go back to the Switch.

If players already have a Pikachu Pokemon Unite License, they will receive Aeos Coins instead. This currency can be spent in the Unite Battle Committee shop on other Pokemon Licenses or Held Items at the Aeos Emporium. The free tickets can also be used to buy Held Items and Booster Cards, and Item Enhancers.

Most trainers will likely be using their tickets for Item Enhancers, as upgrading Held Items in Pokemon Unite can give players huge advantages in matches against enemies with lower-level items equipped. This gameplay mechanic has caused pay-to-win complaints from some. 1000 Aeos Tickets can only buy 100 Item Enhancers, so it's not going to make this issue disappear, but it can at least give free-to-play trainers a slight boost.

If the Festival Style Pikachu doesn't appeal to players, they can buy the Premium Battle Pass to instantly receive the Hip Hop Pikachu Holowear or purchase the Fashionable Style for 400 Aeos Gems from the Zirco Trading Shop.

As all the pre-registration targets have been reached, an extra goal has incentivized more sign-ups. Android and iOS users can help fellow trainers earn another 1000 Aeos Tickets if 7.5 million sign-ups are achieved before the mobile version releases. Hopefully, the Pokemon Unite Blastoise glitch will have been patched by then, and more balanced Ranked matches can happen between Switch and Mobile users.

Pokemon Unite is available now on Nintendo Switch and releases on September 22 for mobile devices.
