Pokemon Unite has already added Gardevoir to the game, with Mamoswine and Sylveon joining the roster in September, when the MOBA releases for mobile.
Bridging the gap until then is fan-favorite character Blastoise, and Blissey. The egg-carrying Pokemon is an incredibly effective Support option if players use its health and attack boosting abilities correctly.
Best Blissey Tactics in Pokemon Unite
To get the most out of playing as Blissey in Pokemon Unite, players must ensure that they are fully embracing their role as a Support character.
No matter what moves or Held Items are tinkered with, players should shadow a Pokemon Unite Attacker or aggressive All-Rounder for the majority of the match in order to make winning easier. It’s Blissey’s job to ensure the heavy-hitters survive long enough to destroy the opposing team.
Best Blissey Builds in Pokemon Unite
Moveset:
- Pound
- Soft Boiled
- Helping Hand
The ideal moveset for Blissey won’t see a lot of change between builds, as Soft Boiled and Helping Hand are what make Blissey such a good Support choice.
At Level 4, choose Soft Boiled, which heals Blissey and an ally teammate. The move has three uses, and runs on a charge. It’s a great way to stay in the fight while providing a boost to the rest of the team.
Even better than Soft Boiled is Helping Hand. This incredible ability is unlocked when Blissey reaches Level 6, and when used correctly can completely turn a losing fight around. Helping Hand increases the attack speed of an ally Pokemon, and also boosts their basic attack damage when upgraded.
This doesn’t sound very exciting, but when used on a Pokemon who uses basic attacks the majority of the time like a Cinderace with a good build, or Ninetales and Greninja, it’s one of the best abilities currently available in Pokemon Unite.
Pop Helping Hand at the beginning of a fight, keep an ally alive with Soft Boiled, and watch the opposing team get annihilated before they know it.

- Score Shield (Or Exp. Share)
Buddy Barrier is a great pick for just about every build in Pokemon Unite. It provides a shield to the user and the nearest ally, worth 20% of the user's health when their Unite Move is used. It helps Blissey stay in fights, so players can heal and boost the team for longer.
Focus Band is one of the best Pokemon Unite Held Items, and can help out a lot of Pokemon, as it effectively acts as an additional way to stay in a battle. It activates when Blissey drops to low HP, then each second for three seconds, it recovers 8% of the HP it had lost. This is boosted to 11% at item Level 10, and 14% at Level 20.
The last Held Item can be interchanged, but Score Shield is a good pick to help Blissey score while enemies are present. A last-minute goal in Pokemon Unite can turn a close match into a winning one.
Alternatively, players can equip Exp. Share. This ensures Blissey is leveling up with the team while leaving the majority of wild Pokemon for powerful allies to level up quickly. It also provides extra health and movement speed to the user.
