It's been over fifteen years since Team Rocket last showed up and, aside from Jesse, James, and Meowth in the long-running anime series, we've not seen anything of the villainous organization in recent times. It seems that the group has undergone a significant re-brand, but Team Rainbow Rocket will be making their next appearance in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon as Giovanni and his crew turn up in the Alola region.

A new trailer on the official Pokemon YouTube channel shows off the team's extravagant new headquarters, where Giovanni himself lies in wait for the Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon players. It seems that the director hasn't learned from his past mistakes however, and the evil leader is once again in control of the powerful, man-made Pokemon: Mewtwo.

That's not the only threat that Team Rainbow Rocket has to offer either, as the team seems to have recruited significant members of all the series' other enemies, including Archie, Maxie, and Lysandre, to their cause. There's no telling what sort of role the new, improved Team Rocket has in store for players this time round but given the November 17 release date, we won't have to wait long to find out.

The new trailer also shows off a new location to be the very best, called The Battle Agency. At this never-seen-before location, players can rent powerful Pokemon from other trainers and battle them in one-on-one matches, going head to head against powerful characters from the past and earning rare items for winning.

A new series of collectable items, Totem Stickers, will be available in Alola when Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon finally releases. These hidden stickers can be found stuck to objects throughout the region, and collecting enough of them will allow trainers to grow a Pokemon up to the size of Sun and Moon's iconic Totem Pokemon. This change appears to be purely cosmetic, but showing a off Totem Pokemon in battle is sure to look more intimidating when facing off against other players online.

Lastly, the trailer reveals that the new Ultra Wormhole feature will allow for more than just the hunting of Ultra Beasts, and nearly all the series' legendary Pokemon can be found through the mysterious portals. Players can catch a Mewtwo of their own and go head to head with Giovanni, or simply further their quest to catch 'em all as the rare creatures just got a significantly easier to track down.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon release on November 17, 2017 exclusively on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.
